To Abu Zayd and Umm Zayd, on the arrival of Zayd, I heartily say: Baarakallaahu laka fil-mawhoobi laka, wa shakartal-waahiba , wa balagha 'ashuddahu, wa ruziqta birrahu. May Allah bless you with His gift to you , and may you (the new parent) give thanks, may the child reach the maturity of years , and may you be granted its righteousness. And to my dear Bobo Jabir, high five to you too. Make sure you be a good egbon o, and don't disturb Mummy too much when she needs to attend to Zayd. AlhamduliLLah. Ire a kari o. Smiling. May Allah make our feet firm on the path of Islam, Aamiin. JazakumuLLahukhayran for the tag, our Oga. More like a reminder that I should visit this corner more often now. May Allah ease our affairs, Aamiin. |
How does it work with VTU? What's the format I will use for that. What is the validity of the plans? What's the format for subscribing with small denominations; e.g., using two #200 recharge cards to subscribe for the #400 plan? Any other thing I should know, not stated here? |
The OP has presented very logical arguments, and I can hardly rubbish them at all. However, it seems very easy to seat in an area of comfort, different from the war zone to describe the trauma of seeing your loved ones and neighbours brutally killed by mean terrorists as 'mere attacks'. From the perspective of the victims of this Boko Haram onslaught, it will not be wrong to declare that the terrorists have 'taken over' if I have witnessed them unchallengedly coming to destroy our land and people over and over again and I have barely managed to flee my home as well. I hope this point is clear and not misconstrued? |
@the Children's emergency ward of the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital. In a sober and depressed state. Apart from the nurses/attendants who can manage a smile and a gossip here and there, the sombre and apprehensive state of relatives to the patients here is are common factors. I'm urging us all that no matter how little the amount we can spare, we should strive to spend our time and money at health facilities every once in a while to offer finanacial, moral, emotional and spiritual support to demoralized and often hopeless patients in these places. We shouldn't wait till we have someone there. Oh Allah, The Healer, The peace, please restore good health to my dear Fayad and all the critically and not too critically ill ones. #very heavy heart |
Haba! Why this recuring display of ignorance na? They were admitted into the academy (in common terms, secondary school), not the uni. Nawah o! |
What's the promo about, lower prices? |
tandj: Who is tambuwal?Really? How many of these your village folks, Market women and people on the street knew Mr. Ebele before he was 'elected' President? |

Lowered into the grave... May Allah forgive him and have Mercy on his soul, Aamiin. |
Body of our departed brother now headed to the Muslim cemetery at Amamah to be buried according to Islamic rites. Inna liLLahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun. We sincerely mourn our brother with heavy hearts. From comments gathered, he was an upright and pious young Muslim, and was from a pious family. May Allah rest his soul in His overwhelming Mercy and comfort his family. May Allay grant us and them Sabr. Aamiin. |
La hawla walaa quwwata illa billah. BismiLLahi R Rahmoni R Raheem. This broadcast is UNOFFICIALLY on behalf of the MSSN LAUTECH Branch and MSSN Ogbomoso Area Council. It is clear that the news about yesterday evening's tragic accident involving the MSSN LAUTECH Dawah 02 Bus and several Muslim Brothers and Sisters in it, headed for the August IVC Camp has gone round our space. As faithful Muslims, we accept the whole events, though very painful, as the Ultimate Will of Allah. Rather than dwelling on regrets, we submit totally to Allah. In line with Allah's decree that "Surely, Allah is with the patient", we are urging every one of us to maintain our calm and avoid acts that might not be pleasing to Allah. We also commiserate with all bereaved families. We pray for the repose of the soul of our departed brother and friend. We beseech Allah to grant the ones receiving treatment, the injured ones and the critically injured needed relief. Consequently, we will like to urge us all, in line with our Prophet (PBUH)'s tradition to mobilise our manpower, material and financial support for the well-being of victims involved. This is imperative, in order to ensure that all needs are adequately and rapidly catered for. For those who might want to make voluntary financial contributions, you can reach out through these channels: Account name: save a soul account no: 90245020110 GT Bank. Account no: 0137246880 Account name: mssn ogbomoso area council GT Bank. Finally, for all those of us on ground in Ogbomoso, let us ensure that we attend we go enmasse for the Janazah rites of our departed brother, as soon as we get information on that; this should provide little consolation for the bereaved family. May Allah Forgive and have Mercy on him, Aamiin. May Allah forgive our shortcomings and guide our affairs, Aamiin. |
neuljosh: More than 50% topic on NL are based on politicsAnd why not? That is the sector that practically shapes the nation's destiny. We, as the 'leaders of today and tomorrow' have to be informed about how those in charge are currently running our affairs, so that we can draw positives from it and do away with whatever resultant shortcomings. BTW, your '50%' statistics is very wrong. Explore the forum and be wowed at how much knowledge there is to acquire, rather than expecting to see some fruitless and nauseating 'celebrity gossips' and other such crap. Have you visited the literature section here yet? |
Buking1: My whatsapp is 07032781836Noted, will get in touch. |
Let's talk, get across. Are you on Whatsapp? |
gratiaeo: Muslim have no monopoly for violence and stop intimidating and threatening me. We can't keep deceiving our self, Islamic is a violence religion hence every Muslim are not terrorist but every terrorist are MuslimYour statement is as dumb as a Yoruba man saying Ibos are not cheats, but all cheats and dubious persons are Ibo. It's also as senseless as a Ghanian saying Nigerians are not internet fraudsters, but all internet fraudsters are Nigerians. It's also as ignorant as saying Mexicans are not drug barons, but all drug barons are Mexican. Moderators, with the arguments against this hate preacher, will you effect his ban now please? |
gratiaeo: Every Muslim are potential terroristModerators, will you please ban this fellow? We can not continue this kind of insanity in our midst. There is freedom of speech/expression, only when it does not infringe on other people's freedoms/rights. This is a subtle hate campaign that can snowball into violent campaigns against innocent persons. Moderators, please prove to us that you are really in charge here. We need some sanity in this forum, regardless of the need to make profits. Thank you. |
In the spirit of fairness, we should not label the whole of the Isreali state as evil. According to Itai Akin, he and his group of other Isreali peace activists are sincerely apologizing to Palestinians, in clear objection of the position of the Isreali authority. The group also has dissociated itself totally from the occupation in Palestine, and there are reports that some of them delisted from the army, in clear protest of the unfair occupation. I salute the courage and justice stand of Mr. Itai Akin and his group. This action of theirs is truly worthy of emulation and may justice prevail at the end. God help us! |
bharyur2103: I don't think you get my point. What is the essence of planning and strategising when you know acting on your plans and strategies will always be a problem.I have,on several occasions, engaged likeminds in discussions to generate plausible solutions to the numerous problems pervading this nation, and one thing I finally realised is that the political is truly the hub from which other institutions are fed, and the political institution in this nation is an embodiment of all kinds of vices. Therefore,I'm of the opinion that at this point,it's "Every man for himself, and God for us all".Your opinion is yours, and I respect it as such. |
bharyur2103: You are not so right, sir.Youths in most developed countries of the world are even more interested in issues like this than Nigerian youths are.Discussing this kind of issue does not equate unseriousness.I'm ,particularly, losing interest in discussing issues pertaining to the national interest of this country simply because our leaders have made it quite lucid the opinion of the people doesn't matter, and all we get to do is talk without anything being done.Any attempt by the people to act on their ideas leads to mass oppression by people in power. As far as I'm concerned,I would rather stick to the popular yoruba saying that "Ti owo eni o ba ti tẹ̀ eku ida,a ki beère iku to pa baba eni".I would rather discuss #KoredeBello'sWink than delve into some fruitless discussion about the state of things in this democratic prison of a country...Why not form a discussion forum to address some of the problems bedevilling the country rather than waiting for a non-responsive Government to come and better your life? |
When will the youths of this country start getting serious, so the nation can get on a steady and meaningful progress path? The path to development of a nation is majorly influenced by how serious and focused her youth populace is. Her worth is measured by the kind of matters that her youths take national interest in. One will then wonder why a nonsense matter such as this winking trash occupy major national discourse. Just sad! |

ebamma: waste of time and resources, instead of trying to convert people from one religion to another, try to preach to them to be better human beingsWhen you become a Muslim, a true and sincere one, you become a better human being. This is because it is clearly enshrined in the Qur'an that fundamental duties of a true Muslim include commanding good and forbidding what is bad. |
maestroferddi: There is no point beating about the bush. What I gave you is a likely cause of the incident. You are free to keep promoting unnecessary victimhood where none exists. I have made my points nonetheless.I have been trying to make out time to puncture your irrational and flawed arguments, which is most likely induced by the "GT Bank can do no wrong" syndrome. In your submission, an average Nigerian student should never stand his ground in demanding his rights, so as to not be tagged a radical. However, let me use the little space I have now to tackle a few of issues you brought up. First, you should try and familiarize yourself with sections of the law that govern business, then you'll understand it is totally unjustifiable for the bank to unilaterally change the closing time of business activities, without prior notice to their customers and seeking to carry them along. For the records, the GT Bank branch in the school, like several other branches of theirs I have been to do not close operations by 03:00pm. Also, it wasn't just the students that were demanding for appropriate explanation, there were several other elder members of the community there. However, the fact that the three were closest to the bank entrance (owing to them being more agile) was what led to them unduly tortured by the Mobile policemen; other people in the crowd had fled for safety after hearing gunshots and being sprayed with teargas. It is also worthy of note that one of the three was not directly involved in the in the 'protest' by the crowd, that is clearly stated in the original story. Let me ask you this: If you have just subscribed to a data plan and you suddenly receive a message from your network provider that they have suspended browsing services, do you smile and say "that's ok" or you call the customer care line to demand an explanation? Lastly, your obvious religious intolerance is contributory to the sorry state of Nigeria today. I hope you get cured soon, so that you'll realize everyone has a right to justice and fairness, irregardless of whatever beliefs they hold on to or their character. |
tunshe: It could have been anybody, the only thing you could read is Muslim? Shame on you!Thank you for your objective submission. The aim of this social media awareness campaign on the matter is to guard against the 'Nigerian factor' playing out. In his narration, this victim (who had frequently transacted business who the bank) mentioned that the 'manager' (probably one of the very senior officials) who had on previous occasions attended to him and his other colleague (who missed the incidence by a stroke of luck) personally, due to the amount of money involved in their transactions, was sighted at the upper floor of the bank, through the transparent glasses, observing the unfolding of events. It was therefore a deliberate and collaborative effort of high-handedness. The latest update however is that the branch management is now reaching out to the victims and the body they represent to probably settle out of court. Considering the attitude of most Nigerians to court matters, I fear the matter might eventually die a natural death. However, this should not be; as they could do worse to an even less enlightened victim tomorrow, and hope to sweep the matter under the carpet as usual. I hope you get the point? Concerning the police, I wish the police high command will get to know about this incidence and guard against its future occurence, because if it had occured at the school branch of the bank, the consequences could have been very devastating. Notwithstanding, we are passing a vote of no confidence on the Nigerian Police Force. |
paramedic: GT THIS GT THAT!!!! UNA NO DEH TIRE?I guess we should also migrate to another country where there are better police services as well? If you read the story, then you should have deduced that this wasn't just about bad service, but going out of line to trample upon fundamental human rights. A littlke more objectivity is needed here please. |
GetUmad: And you termed that impunity? in Gej's voice, Nigerians are very funny, just ordinary order restoration they would call it impunity. There's no point debating with someone who holds on to the unfounded stereotype that 'all Nigerian students behave like touts'. When you present a more logical point, then we might reason out things together. |
