my 5G band is actually very stable though the 2.4G fluctuates terribly (I only use it when I am far away like at my house gate), probably your area doesn't have a strong 5G wave yet since MTN are still rolling out the service gradually. The experience will differ according to your area and I am sure some places will even have complaints of not reaching the designated 100mpbs speed due to weak 4G waves too

instead.

5 major problems people will run into with virtual cards in 2026

1. Naira cards get declined on international platforms

While we have seen verve cards work on Netflix, Spotify, Fb ad accounts - most naira-denominated cards either fail outright or
get capped hard on foreign transactions, forcing people into a virtual dollar card just to

2. Hidden conversion fees when funding

A lot of providers advertise "free issuance" but bury the real cost in the exchange rate you

4. Grey - grey.co

Grey's real strength is on the receiving side, not the card. It gives you free USD/GBP/EUR
virtual bank accounts to receive international payments via ACH/SWIFT from 88+ countries,
then lets you convert to naira. The virtual card exists but is a secondary feature bolted onto
the account, not the core product — worth it if receiving foreign client payments is your main
need, less so if a card is all you want.

5. UBA AfriCard - ubagroup.com

A prepaid Visa/Mastercard product from UBA rather than a fintech app - aimed at general
banking access (including unbanked users) more than online international spend specifically.
You typically need to visit a UBA branch to get one, it's tied to the bank's own infrastructure,
and there's no crypto funding option. Works internationally, but it's a bank card first, not a
purpose-built online spending tool.

These are the recurring issues with virtual cards specifically, not just international payments
