PDP Governors in the South South region have restated their support to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate, of the party ahead of 2023 election.

The Governors who converged on Yenagoa for a meeting were Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and host, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State.

1) Kaduna state is heavily APC so much that it has both governor and deputy as Muslims under APC
2) No party is going to win by 100%. So a video of a minority people will not get you anywhere.

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in Sokoto State has denied the assertion that the party has collapsed into the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the PRP governorship candidate, Alhaji Sa’idu Gumburawa, alongside other members of the party on Friday in Sokoto announced their official exit from the party to APC.

Gumburawa, who was received by Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North), said all the candidates of the PRP and leaders at the state and local government levels had consented to the decision of the party to join APC.

Addressing newsmen on Sunday in Sokoto, Malam Ibrahim Tudun-Doki, the PRP National Publicity Secretary, said the assertion was unfortunate and misleading.

“PRP in Sokoto State is intact and the decision taken by the governorship candidate and two others came to our notice when we saw the report in the media.

“This led to our emergency stakeholders meeting today to express our position regarding the governorship candidate’s exit.

“As you are all aware, we are in a democratic system in which everyone has his own right, so we cannot deny anybody of his or her right.

“But our party is intact in Sokoto, all the party leaders with the exception of the Vice Chairman and Sokoto East Senatorial candidate that joined the governorship candidate are with PRP.

“Therefore, we want to inform the good people of Sokoto State that PRP is fully intact and will continue to pursue our mandate for the victory of our party,” he said.

Tudun-Doki, who is also the PRP House of Representatives candidate in Gwadabawa/Illela Federal Constituency, said the state chapter would officially inform the National Headquarters of the party for possible replacements. (NAN)

This should be my last comment on this thread but I'd try to school you on the north central. You can continue to delude yourself about Atiku clearing other parts of the north as if you're too dull to see that Abiola almost tied Tofa if not even defeating him in the core north in 1993. I know most of you are teenagers here but the results are online.

As for the north central, I have at least three friends who are Obidiend and reside in different parts of Niger State. I told them I was informed that Kwankwaso would win the state, they said with things on ground right now, Tinubu should win while Kwankwaso should come second. They said Atiku might drag the second with Kwankwaso. Kwara is sure for Tinubu. The Ebiras are fully with APC while the Okuns are Yoruba's and fully ready to vote Tinubu. The most popular politician in Igala land today is Echocho and he's with APC and the deputy governor who's from Olamaboro is mobilizing for Tinubu.

Let's go to Nasarawa State where Obi's campaign badly flopped. Tinubu has Almakura, Abdullahi Adamu and governor Sule with him and even their Emir endorsed him. Tell me who would deliver Nasarawa for Obi?! Despite the Fulani killings in Benue before the Presidential elections in 2019, Atiku's margin of victory there was so small. Today he would still get some votes while Obi would get some as well. Tinubu is clearly winning Benue. If you doubt me, ask Kyase who's on ground. Plateau is a battleground while Obi may likely win FCT.

Now tell me how Obi would win north central with just FCT and or maybe Plateau (which is practically impossible)? When next you're typing rubbish, please look for your kind. I'm not gullible. I work with an NGO and have been to almost every part of Kaduna .. am Obidient but I can tell you most Hausa/Fulani here are rooting for Atiku . While the Christian dominated areas are Obidient including alot of Yoruba Christians here..

If I am to run for president of Nigeria ...I won't do rallies the way we know it ...instead I would tour every state for a few days ...hold small rallies in like 5 to 10 location , mostly hold town hall meetings with stake holders ... students, market women , business community, religious leaders , different groups ...I would then try to tour all the radio and TV stations in the state ...to sell my ideas

Personally, I have never attended political rally but I have always voted my preferred candidate.

The front runners for the presidency come 2023 are engaging in political rallies across the country and their supporters and opponents are always quick to brag about crowds in their rally.

No rally can pull upto 400, 000 people, considering the capacity of the venues. Contrastly, candidates have won states with over a million votes. Some people are also paid to be at the rally.

Consequently, I ask " does crowd at rally translate to votes? ".

Additionally, don't we think that grassroots sensitization and mobilisation is more productive than rallies?

Many rural dwellers don't have the time and resources to make it to venues of campaign rallies .
