It’s simple, if APC and Supreme Court doesn’t want this country to burn, they should just uphold Abba Gida Gilda’s election.

But if they think otherwise, they can stretch their luck.😏
yes soo. Nigeria people will retaliate of cheating the people’s governor in Kano State. Gawuna isn’t the people’s choice.

Politics / Re: Gov Of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf Has Appealed The Court Of Appeal Judgement by Politicstoday: 8:10pm On Nov 22, 2023
Good one from his lawyers. I hope in the end, the will of the people prevail. I hope the people’s mandate restored back to him. The Supreme Court of justice should dish out their justice without biase in the NNPP appeal. Hoping for best in the judgement. Probably by December, the Supreme Court of justice will sit on the appeal of Nnpp. Unfortunate the judiciary that stand as the last hope of the masses have been compromised. All is well.
Politics / Re: Kano: Court Of Appeal Releases Another CTC, Awards N1m For APC Against NNPP by Politicstoday: 8:06pm On Nov 22, 2023
Our judiciary is for the highest bidder, it’s very unfortunate seriously. Now both the Nnpp lawyers and APC lawyers will tender different CTC true copies in the Supreme Court of justice and the Supreme Court of justice will check their copies before they dish out judgement in their various appeal. Nigeria is for the highest bidder. Very unfortunate.

You are funny. Anyways...let's wait and see... because, it's obvious that was a typographical errors.

What do I know
not a typographical error joor. Infact the judgement was unanimous judgement. APC must pay #1m to Nnpp and its governorship candidate, governor Abba Yusuff

What are they appealing, if the CTC they got declared Abba Kabir and resolved all issues against first respondent

grin cheesy grin cheesy
first and foremost, that verbal judgement won’t be tendered in the Supreme Court of justice, it’s the CTC true copies the Nnpp lawyers has. APC lawyers will be running helter skelter in the Supreme Court of justice but it’s too late. Nnpp lawyers in which Barrister Olanipekun, Falana will tendered the CTC true copies to the Supreme Court of justice affirming the victories of Governor Abba Yusuff of Nnpp in the March 18th governorship election 🗳. The APC has 15 days to filed their cross appeal in the Supreme Court of justice too.

NNPP also giving it their last fight..

For me, they are the ones doing the dirty job..

The Judges read Judgement in the presence of everyone...

If e sure for NNPP that the CTC they have is more reliable than the pronounced Judgement their lawyers heard ...They should not appeal then.

No need of going to the Supreme Court..since the CTC to them is authentic than the oral delivery.

Let's see what happens.
Na that CTC copies the Nnpp will used to filed their appeal case in the Supreme Court of justice. Nnpp still has huge advantage to win in the Supreme Court of justice. I think they have filed their appeal already. They already got their CTC copies including APC lawyers too. The final lap is Supreme Court of justice

NNPP shouldn't mind all these shenanigans ooo. They should head to supreme for redress. If supreme tells them there's no case , then they can come back and continue with their governance. For now, they have 21 days or so
nope, it’s 15 days they have in the Supreme Court of justice. Nnpp still has huge advantage to win in the Supreme Court of justice

Appeal Court of justice affirmed governor Abba Yusuff of Nnpp . CTC copies are the fact copies that the lawyers used to filed cases in the court either Tribunal, Appeal and Supreme Court of justice. Totally Unacceptable For Few Judges Upturning Decisions Of Millions Of Voters -Obasanjo
***
“I believe whatever form of democracy we have or whatever system of government we have, three or four men in the judiciary should not be able to overturn the decisions of millions that have voted. Now, we have to find a way to handle that. I don’t know what the way will be but, for me, I think it’s totally unacceptable that millions (of votes), maybe 10m on one side, maybe 9million on the other side. Then, you have five people sitting down, three of them agree, two disagree. And you come up and make cathedra pronouncements that cannot be changed. I believe that should not be accepted.
“How do we do it? I don’t know. But whatever form of democracy we have, we should look at how to handle this. If you say ‘go again for election,’ then, what happened to the previous election will repeat itself? I don’t know.
“So, I personally feel strongly about. It does not matter what you say about the judiciary, but in fact, only five people or seven will sit down. If there are five, three may agree, two may not agree, and the decision of three will be final. All that you have done comes to the decision of three or decision of four.” -Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Ex-President At Consultation On Rethinking Western Liberal Democracy In Africa

Newsfash:
I Will Rather Lose Governorship Position Than Abandon Political Godfather– Abba Kabir

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared that he is ready to lose his governorship position rather than abandon the guidance of his political godfather Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Governor Yusuf attributed his travails to the unnecessary transfer of aggression on him by some highly placed politicians, who moved against the Kwankwaso.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting of the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Kano, Governor Yusuf, attributed his losses at both the Election Petition Tribunal and Court of Appeal, as part of a targeted attack on Kwankwaso.

He said: “Even if the world would say they are not going to give us anything because of his (Kwankwaso) vision, we are not going to turn our back on him and his vision.”

“But we must appreciate him (Kwankwaso) and be immensely grateful to him and we have to tell him that we are proud of him.”

Yusuf then urged the party leaders not to lose hope and urged them not to exchange bitter words with anyone but to channel their energy to motivating the Kano people.

SHOCKER: CTC OF COURT OF APPEAL JUDGEMENT UPHOLDS GOV. ABBA YUSUF’S ELECTION, AWARDS N1M COST AGAINST APC.

Contrary to its Friday pronouncement upholding the judgement of the Kano Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, the certified true copy of the Court of Appeal judgment however revealed that the appellate court had set aside the judgement of the lower tribunal.

The Court of Appeal had in its Friday judgement read by the chairman of the panel, Justice Moore Adumein, upheld the judgement of the tribunal, declaring APC candidate, Nasiru Gawuna, as winner of the governorship election in the state.

But when the certified true copy of the judgement was released by the court on Tuesday, our reporter observed a number of contradictory declarations in the judgement.

In the CTC, duly signed by the three justices, the appellate court went further to award the N1,000,0000 cost in favour of the NNPP and against the APC as against its Friday pronouncement.

In one instance, the appellate court declared “I will conclude by stating that the live issues in this appeal are hereby resolved in favour of the 1st respondent (APC) and against the appellant (Governor Abba Yusuf)”, but went further to contradict itself in another sentence.

The court said: “In the circumstances, I resolve all the issues in favour of the appellant (NNPP) and against the 1st respondent (APC).”

The court further shot itself on the foot, declaring “Therefore, I find no merit in this appeal which is liable to be and is hereby dismissed.”

But in the final line of the judgement, the court set aside the judgement of the tribunal, which sacked the governor.

“The judgment of the tribunal In Petition No.: EPT/KN/GOV/01/2023 between: ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) v. INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION & 2 ORS. delivered on the 20th day of September, 2023 is hereby set aside,” the CTC of the judgement read.

Recall that the Kano State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on September 20 sacked the governor and declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nasiru Gawuna, winner of the March 18 governorship poll.

Dissatisfied by the lower tribunal’s decision, the governor, through his counsel Wole Olanipekun, asked the appellate court to set aside the judgment of the tribunal.

But the court of appeal in a unanimous ruling on Friday said the governor was not a valid candidate in the March 18 gubernatorial election.

Although a presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga had denied involvement of the presidency in the case, sources however told this newspaper that the justices had initially prepared a judgement in favour of the NNPP but forces in the presidency allegedly coerced them into changing the judgement hours before reading.

The sources further said that the contradictory declarations as well as the four-day delay in releasing the full judgement might not be unconnected with the sudden u-turn of the justices.
