Posting on her Instagram, the Lydia Forson told why she is drawn to the housemate, and how Cee-C‘s personal battles reflects some of the realities many viewers deal with.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Cee-C seems to be gathering support from some celebrities, despite a wide backlash from other viewers of the show for her attitude towards another housemate Tobi. One of the celebrities that have shown support is Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson.


“What people don’t appreciate is while you’re entertained, these housemates are confined to a space , forced to interact with people they’d never in the outside world and pushed to limits only those who’ve been a part can appreciate,” she wrote.

She continued,

“For those who stay true to themselves they’re forced to come face to face with who they really are, stare at the ugliest parts of themselves and made to confront them in the rawest way. It’s probably the hardest thing for anyone who’s never had to be vulnerable or this exposed, to do.

And this is why I was drawn to Cee-C, it had nothing to do with how entertaining I thought she was. Some of her actions were inexcusable and I found myself screaming at her through the television a few times; but I appreciated that she was flawed, had struggles and was working through them, even if it wasn’t at a pace people expected.”

She then went ahead to mention that she is not actually rooting for the housemate:

Many people recognize themselves in her struggle,a part of our lives cameras don’t always capture, a battle with strong emotions and self control- and we appreciated her journey.
And that’s why it’s been disheartening to read from people who I know DO NOT have it all together; but quick to join in to call her animal, unfit to live and a mental case( exposing your own ignorance about the real battle of mental disorders). If your prescription to a crazy person is to act crazy yourself then you both need to be locked up.

And no, this is not a campaign, because her winning the money doesn’t mean much to me;the winners of these shows aren’t always the ones with fat bank accounts after- that doesn’t always last- it’s those who take what the experience put them through and see the gold that it is to be better after.

Hopefully she’s made us reflect a little more on our lives, how we’re perceived by the world and what we can do to become better.
You might think you’ve got it all together until you have a camera follow you around for 24hrs.

Arsenal owner, Stan Kroenke, has reacted to the news of Arsene Wenger leaving the club at the end of the season.
Wenger, on Friday Morning announced via the club’s website that he would be stepping down at the end of the current season.

In his statement after the announced, Kroenke pointed out that one of the reasons they got involved with Arsenal was because of Wenger.

His statement reads:

“This is one of the most difficult days we have ever had in all our years in sport. One of the main reasons we got involved with Arsenal was because of what Arsène has brought to the club on and off the pitch. His longevity and consistency over such a sustained period at the highest level of the game will never be matched.

“Arsène has unparalleled class and we will always be grateful to him. Everyone who loves Arsenal and everyone who loves football owes him a debt of gratitude. Three Premier League titles, including an entire season unbeaten, seven FA Cup triumphs and 20 successive years in the Champions League is an exceptional record.

“He has also transformed the identity of our club and of English football with his vision for how the game can be played.

“We have high ambitions to build on Arsène’s remarkable tenure and to honour his vision by ensuring that Arsenal competes for and wins the biggest and most important prizes in the game.

“We must now focus on making a strong finish to the season and ask our millions of fans around the world to join us in paying appropriate tribute to one of the greats of Arsenal’s history and one of the greats of the game.”

Kroenke said “It is one of the most difficult days in the history.”

He urged Arsenal fans to show their appreciation for Wenger in the remainder of the season for his dedication to the club.

Former national vice-chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Ishola Filani is dead.

He died on Thursday in London, United Kingdom.

Filani, 72, was PDP Vice Chairman (Southwest) between 2012 and 2014.

Reacting, former Deputy Chairman of the party, Olabode George, described the demise as colossal loss and painful.

George, in a statement said the deceased “was a man of warmth, full of devotion, enveloped within whatever cause he pursued with vigor and sheer honesty.

“He resonated with settled intelligence and far reaching determined articulation. He could be combative in debate but without malice.

“He could disagree with demonstrated fervor but without acrimony. He was a patriot with passion, a distinguished lawyer with assertive merits.”

Similarly, the South-West Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Eddy Olafeso, noted that the party received the news of the death with rude shock while commiserating with his family.

“While alive, he was a democrat and gave his all. He is a committed, resourceful and loyal leader of the party,” he said.

 Flashback! The building I once lived in, in Malaysia gutted by fire in 2011.

I was on the 4th floor. Slept around 3am, fire started avout 45mins later. A gas explosion. The building was evacuated. Fire got put out by 7am completely. I woke up by 8am, took a bath, got dressed to go out, feeling happy that day for no particular reason.

I only noticed something was off when I came out front door of my apartment. The entire walk way covered in smoke, elevator not working, broken glass everywhere and a lot more smoke in the stairway.

As I struggled to get out, it hit me that I just survived a massive fire outbreak. Some police officers and fire men/women who had already barricaded the building thinking they got everyone out rushed to me in shock asking if I was ok.

Trying to get me in an ambulance. I insisted I was fine and just kept smiling even though I was still in shock. Looking at the building from the front, it was obvious I got saved by a higher being. This was not man's doing but God. I even got a better place afterwards. For weeks I kept thinking what if they were unable to put out the fire.

I have been in car accidents, bike accidents and have come out with no bruises. Lost some really amazing people, almost drowned twice. I will always be grateful for the live I have. I believe there is a lot I need to get done. My work here is not yet done.

There are many out there like me that have gone through so much and continue to keep it together knowing that greater things lay ahead.

Never stop working towards your dreams. Never stop believing. As long as you live, you can achieve. #BeThankful

Growing up as a child, I was a slim, tall, leggy beauty! I was the girl everyone wanted to be friends with. Most guys would lie to their friends I was their girlfriend. Cars would follow me home from the bus stop and my Grandmother (God rest her soul) would haul all the insults at me for walking provocatively on the street. I'd argue with her it's what my job ethics called for as I was a top model with Modela Agency and the street is our runway most times. Arguments would end on a slap note for talking back at her or keeping mute on her! Parents!!! You are never right with them.

 How I miss you Alhaja

Everyone admired me and would shout "hot stepper" when I walk. But this hot stepper had one pain she nursed in her heart- my facial marks. I felt it was a hinderance for me being a beauty queen, being a super model, being a flawless model! Each year, Uncle B, Modela, would prepare me for the big stage and I'd chicken out last minute for fear of my "flaw". The only person I shared this with was my other self when I looked in the mirror. I would spend minutes wishing I know the old man who marked my face and question my parents why it had to be me of all my siblings.... Fast forward many years later, I realized the only person who stopped me from achieving my goals as a would be beauty queen was myself. My self esteem was so low I supressed myself on many frontier... maybe I'd have been the first beauty queen with facial marks

It's ironic how people wanna be you and all you see about yourself is a chubby face or a flabby belly. Not so cool. We need to constantly see beyond our supposed flaws, they are all in our heads. If you do not feel beautiful skin deep, you can't feel beautiful on the inside. No one can love you than you. If you like kill yourself in the quest of looking "perfect" because of a man or a woman, you will still see yourself like a bag of shit on the inside. For true perfection is inside out and it's a place only you can find.
Would I remove my facial marks today? Hell NO! I love how artistic they look Moreso I need no one's validation to feel beautiful or live life. You like me, Thank you. You don't like me, I don't expect everyone to.

PREACH THE GOSPEL WITH BOLDNESS *…every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world (1 John 4:3).* To better understand what we just read in our opening scripture, it’s important to read the next verse, which is 1 John 4:4. It says, _*“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”*_ There’s an antichrist spirit in the world; there’re those who simply hate everything about Jesus, but they’re not a factor, because you’ve already overcome them. 

Sometimes, we’re almost tempted to not share the Gospel with such people, because we don’t know what their reaction might be; so we become hesitant; no! Refuse to be intimidated by their affront or effrontery; proclaim the Gospel with the consciousness of the power it bears, and the consciousness of the greater One who lives in you. 

Paul said, *“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”* (Romans 1:16). The Gospel is for everybody; it’ll produce results in the life of anyone who hears and believes it. But for them to believe, they must hear it first, and that’s where you come in, for they can’t hear without a preacher (Romans 10:14). Therefore, be bold to preach the Word everywhere and to everyone. The Holy Spirit in you will speak through you. He’ll confirm your words with signs following (Mark 16:20). Understand that you’re the bearer of His glory and righteousness to the world; you’re the dispenser of His mercies and grace. You’re His partner in soul winning, and He’s fortified you for the job; do it unafraid! 
Through you, He’s delivering men from darkness, into light, and from the power of darkness unto God. He’s establishing His righteousness and expanding His Kingdom in the earth. You’re not walking in your own strength

Versatile Alex Iwobi has said his best position is No 10 with his legendary uncle Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha backing him on that.

The Arsenal ace also revealed he chose the London Gunners ahead of city rivals West Ham.

Iwobi has played several positions for both club and country, but he said he prefers to play behind the top striker.

“I like to play behind the striker, a No 10, like a false No 9,” he told SuperSport TV.

“I will pick passes but I need to score more goals.”

Iwobi’s famous uncle Okocha will also back him for the No 10 shirt.

The Arsenal star also revealed he chose to join the London club even though he also had an offer from city rivals West Ham.

He also said it has been great working under manager Arsene Wenger.

“He’s been great, he doesn’t put you under pressure, rather he lets you know privately what you have to work on,” Iwobi said.
