Her American + British + Ghana accent couldn't save her.......beeeech!!!! |
I had to battle them for my money seriously the last time I had a similar issue. I got impatient and started ranting on their social media page. they reversed the transaction shortly afterwards. |
Daytonbale:I know most will say, forget her, go for someone else. but for me, it's better to marry someone that has weighed her options and settled for you, she will value you more, knowing; she tried and it's not sooo easy out there. Therz no one way to live life. Talking from experience. |
Happy new year Ladies and Gentlemen. It still gladens my heart that I rejected a very poor offer from a Lebanese firm last month for reasons I stated in my previous thread. God that never disappoints did it exactly the way I wanted so he can prove that he is God.A firm I applied to since June called me for an interview. I went and within a week secured the employment. By the grace of God this offer is more than double of what I rejected. The management was so impressed that they told me on the spot that they were employing me, the line manager even said I am the one he wants to work with. I knew people were disappointed when I resigned from the other job. Especially since I was referred by an old colleague. When no amount of persuasion could make me change my mind, I looked like a very stubborn and proud person. At times we do not need to settle for less, knowing our self worth and believing in our brand is key. Even when it seemed difficult I knew a better offer was coming. To all those reading this and saying 'God! when shall my time come' don't worry just hang on and continue to believe. CHEERS!!! |
beegameh:I understand your situation, don't worry,its well |
Bizibi:Don't mind them such employers even tell you, there are no jobs in Nigeria.Where are u going to get a job and bla bla bla |
adewumiopeyemi:That was why I said my circumstances dozent permit me to suffer now, if my circumstances were different I probably will be locked down like my colleagues, who likes to suffer? |
Ekykool:You know why the Nigerian managers enslave people? such companies have very wicked strategies, they pay a few top executives well with better conditions of service and use them to enslave the others. |
emmanuelbrown26:Exactly my thoughts, why are people so scared in this country, we need to enforce change, cowards everywhere |
BizBloke:The workers live in fear and cannot even talk properly, my dear I had to run for my life ooo |
After the company I had worked for 3 years plus announced they were leaving Nigeria due to the harsh economic situation, I was happy when I secured another job on 30th of November 2016, which was the last day of my previous job. I couldn't wait to share my testimony here, lol. Upon resumption, I realised people worked like horses for the company(Monday to Saturday)with no overtime bonus for working till about 10, 11pm if u have to, the best u get is a hotel room for the night if you can no longer go home. I was the only one going out for break and closing by 5.I understood because I was new, they didn't want to complain and wanted me to settle down. Hmmmmm, see work Oooooo. Although I had heard of such companies It was beginning to dawn on me that I had just gotten into one. I terminated my appointment and no amount of persuasion from the management could stop me (If the offer is so cool, they should give it else with my experience and pay the person, shikena!)Why beg me? I know the situation in Nigeria is terrible and many people doing such jobs are holding on till they get another job, its not easy to bear, sincerely.Employers especially Lebanese are taking the advantage to enslave Nigerians. Unfortunately, our government is still asleep. I resigned because my circumstances at the moment does not demand for me to work under such poor conditions of service. But then, not every Nigerian has same circumstances and can take such a bold step.It is really heart breaking to see people suffer like this. Have u worked under such conditions before? please share. |
same here, just bounced back |
jkop:Have u concluded the recruitment? |
I still haven't forgiven you guys for the following: 1.looked at my CV with experience and invited me for a 50k contract staff role.RUBBISH!!! 2.Your staff(babatunde ogunfuwa; not sure I spelt correctly) said there was another role but not for a married woman. 3.Your staff (all ladies in one office )with enough attitude kept tossing me around. In their words ;who called you? who called you?wait, lemme call her, her number is not going, there is no vacancy here, are u sure u are in the right place? they didn't have the courtsey to tell me to sit while they sorted themselves. After a while, the spirit of the lord touched one of them and she told me to wait at the balcony. 4. The lady that called me said the vacancy was fresh that as a premium subscriber they were informing me first. 4.I realised that even members who were not premium subscribers were invited for the same role, including ND holders. That was in august and till this moment I have not logged unto the website and my 3k gone, just like that.Yes!, i am really upset with gr8jobs and your advert and publicity campaign pisses me off as well. |
Please your responses will be highly appreciated. |

Has any one been able to purchase MBA executive scratch card? |
jfking2005:we are in the same shoes, can we have a chat? |
Dear All, Please who has bought IFE Mba form for 2016/2017 Session. I am having difficulty making payment, who is with me please |
I was interviewed by a firm today and for the entire duration of the session I was very comfortable because I was hitting the questions 'back to back' until that moment I was asked about my current salary. I told them ' I expect such a role to have a budget and I would prefer them to give an offer based on the budget then we can see if its workable or further negotiations would be necessary'. Funny enough, the interviewer declined and insisted I disclose my current earnings that my answer determines progression to the next stage. I reluctantly answered but the interviewer just said OK 'we will get back to you'.Maybe my present salary discouraged him, lol.But I thought that was so unfair. My view point is this; Since I was being interviewed by a recruitment firm for their client, my present earnings shouldn't be a serious hindrance to getting employed. There are other factors to be considered outside financial benefits like growth prospect, trainings, exposure, etc. I should be given the opportunity to progress to the stage where I'll know the name of the company and the salary range to be offered and make a decision. Or has it really gotten so bad that Nigerians care about only money? I may have missed a firm I have been dying to join. Please share similar experiences if you have |

fourseven:hello please I need assistance on how to get the Form Pls |
hasami:hello, have u been able to purchase the Form? |
Good question! Its nice for employers to advertise positions with salary range at times, especially companies that are not well known. Not after travelling all the way for interview someone will now tell you 40k salary.lol |
uckennety:Thanks for your response but any recent case or incident to share? |
