Romance / Re: My Husband Sleeps In The Same Room With His Mother. Help! by PoshBee(f): 8:12am On Dec 09, 2015
smileysmiley:
Hello OUR,
I am a married woman and I live with my
husband in a two bedroom apartment. I have
been married for three years but do not have any
kids yet as my husband and I are still waiting for
God to bless us with children.
You would think this is the problem I have with my
mother-in-law right? The fact that i don’t have
kids? Actually, the reason i am writing to you is
far from that.
My mother-in-law lives in the village and we live
in the city. She comes to visit us quite often which
i definitely do not have a problem with as she is
welcome to our home anytime.
The only issue i have with her regular visits is the
fact that whenever she comes, for whatever
reason, my husband always asks me to evacuate
our matrimonial bedroom for her. He makes me
leave our room to sleep in the guestroom while
him and his mother sleep in our bedroom.
I have wondered and thought to myself if it is
normal to have a full grown man sleep with his
mother in the same room especially when there is
another room available but i am unable to
reconcile it in my head.
I asked him why he does it and his response to me
was “my mother and I are very close and she
suffered so much for me growing up so the least
I feel I owe her is to make her very comfortable.
And if she feels more comfortable in
our matrimonial bed? Then so be it”.
I was appalled after i got his response. So
appalled that i decided enough is enough!
The next time she visited, i deliberately went to
bed earlier than usual and tucked myself under
the covers pretending to be asleep.
When it was time for her to go to bed, could you
believe my husband came to wake me up from
my pretend sleep telling me that i should go to the
other room so “mama” can come to bed?
I couldn’t believe my ears. I literally thought i was
dreaming.
Anyway, just for peace to reign, i did as i was told
and mama actually came to bed while i slept in
the guest room as usual.
Please OUR, tell me what i can do. I have endured
this for three years but it is becoming ridiculous.
What will happen when we have kids? How will I
explain to them that daddy sleeps in the same
room with grandma whenever she’s around and
not mummy? Does that even sound like
something anyone should say out loud?
Kindly advise on what i should do to save the
situation because i am really getting tired of the
entire thing.

I'd rather be an orphan than be a bas.tard like you are. To make matters worse for you, you're apparently an imbe.cile as well. You should ask someone to explain a post to you, and what it was in response to, before you jump on it.

U heard that unarmed peaceful protesters were killed and your first word is "Great"
It's gotten to the point that you now celebrate trigger happy police for killing innocent civilians yet if it happens to your family, you'll cry to high heavens
You hate Igbos to the point of death yet you're fighting so hard to keep them in Nigeria

I never knew the extent Igbos were hated by you lots until I joined nl.
I encourage my Igbo brethren here, if you see anyone who doesn't buy into Biafra idea, all you need to do is encourage them to join nl politics section for a month. The hatred is real here

you just avoided all the real talks and went to hate.. No one hates igbos.. But they hate d other tribes.. So we dont care if u face firing squad.. Y'all would be drinking pami if it were to be hausa or yorubas

I hope you will bury your heads in shame when these charges are thrown out!The charges are just plain ridiculous!! No Government agency just pays money to anyone without any clear reason,If you tell me the contract sum was inflated then it might be somehow reasonable
with the evidence on ground the jonathan govt did.. Its the presidential commitee on arms procurement that found this out and not the TENDERS BOARD! What is a tenders board they approve and investigate contracts.. So if the contract was inflated the tenders board would have been the one to discover it.. You really dnt knw ntn of d public sector. Pls make your research and read more

Either your fada or you must also be a 'tout', for you to know he's one. Beg someone to translate it for you in arabic or hausa, then you'll understand what he's saying. You can agree or disagree with what he's saying, but he said it in plain, simple and clear English.
you must be an orphan for u to insult someone father that way.. Yoruba will eni ti o ba ni iru eni ko le mo iyi eni..

I can bet you that not one motorist knew the number for police to dial, smh undecided

Like why can't we get a "911" type number in Nigeria that every citizen would know Even if it where a 3 year old kid sef, his naija police car toy would have the number on the side, so he/she would already be growing up with the instinct to dial that number when in trouble.

Why does naija have to always lag behind Makes me want to become Governor or President someday men, to try to solve these common sense issues, or at least prop up someone with common sense to solve the common sense issues.

Ordinary electricity, we can't harness angry Do you guys know when electricity was discovered We are not even asking these leaders to setup high tech labs to re-discover electricity undecided we're just asking them to simply import the technology and pay the cost without stealing the money.

Getting tired of waiting for naija to get common sense men, sigh undecided
Er erm.. 727 or 112
