Now this is it! Last year (the maiden edition), 60 questions were asked to be answered in 1 hour. Questions centred on English, Government/Current Affairs (largely because the scholarship takes you to BSG to study Public Policy) and Mathematics. This was the situation last year: First Stage- Aptitude Test at JKK, Lagos on the 19th of November. Second Stage- Essay Assessment. Here, applicants were required to upload their CVs. AIG provided them with a CV template. They also wrote an essay (not more than 1500 words). Last year, the essay covered three questions and submission was virtual. You would be communicated appropriately. Last year, this stage came 10 days after the first stage. Third Stage-Interview Stage. This was a face-to-face interview at the AIG HQ on 19 Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos where applicants met 5 men and women including Aig Imokhuede himself. After this, applicants submitted their documents. Performance in the interview was also dependent on applicants' performance in the essay assessment. Last year, this stage came about 10 days after the preceding stage. Last year, notifications on interview performance were sent to applicants after 6 days. Last year, 16 persons made it to the final interview stage, but 10 were selected and their details and documents sent to BSG, Oxford University which chose 6 persons, including a female and a Ghanaian. The initial plan was to select top 5 from both Nigeria and Ghana. I do not know why they chose 6. Congratulations to all of you who got shortlisted. This is wishing you all the best. Please note that this is a professional Masters programme that does not qualify one for a phD! Cheers! |

Could the 7-week recess by members of the National Assembly have slowed down the DPR recruitment process? This is just a speculation, but then in Nigeria things are done differently. |
Mballowa:Congratulations! Your inputs are greatly needed to make Nigeria great again. |
DivineKayy:In my country, things are done differently, negatively always! |
maria43:Most unlikely scenario! But then, it's good it's in the realm of speculation! ![]() |
sulaidon:There were no state of origin codes assigned. State of origin in the application is probably to help with the quota system or what we call federal character in our local parlance in the final stage. One must have chosen an exam centre and submitted to be given a reference number or what you referred to as centre code. Moreover, if there were state of origin codes, they would have followed the DPR reference number pattern which abbreviated each centre with three alphabets. KWARA would have been KWA or KWR not KW if it existed. |
The errors noticed in reference numbers for applicants 4 and 5 on the list could have been typographical. There are many other errors in the letter such as errors in the DPR address, poor punctuation usage, as well as the inability to use title cases for some of the proper nouns. The closest correction to the said reference numbers could have been numbers with KANO and not KWARA. This point is backed up by a fact that appears on the list: Applicant number 4 is same as Applicant number 8! While his name appeared on number 4, his middle name was represented with an initial, S. The initial was spelt out as the same name appeared on number 8. Two candidates couldn't possibly have had the same reference number. Remember reference numbers were automatically generated as one registered. The Honourable's Personal Assistant might have acted on his own given that as as aide he ought to have access to such papers for official correspondence. However, my observations do not insinuate that the letter might not have any effect(s). |
Drnice:It had been there since you submitted your application last year! Happy Sunday and new Week folks! |

Celcius:Dingell Jr. who is America's longest serving congressman was succeeded by his wife, Debbie in 2015 when he left the post after 59 years. Dingell had taken over the seat from his dad, John Dingell Sr. who had spent 22 years there. This means that the Dingells have been occupying the seat for almost 100 years (83 years and counting)! |
Congrats to all of us who have made it to the interview stage of the AIG Scholarships slated for Thursday! |
Congrats to all those shortlisted for the next phase (Essay assessment) of the AIG Scholarships Test! This is wishing you all the best! |
Good evening guys. Who has an idea of the date AIG will contact persons shortlisted for the next stage of the Scholarship screening? |
October 31st isn't a week day. Its a Saturday. I think the real BVN deadline is October 30th not October 31st. |
