I don't agree with you. I used a statement printed in February for my interview in August. I think you are just trying to analyze his/her situation but the law is the law. If they say 6 months, they mean 6 months. The important thing is that the document is genuine.

You can use any bank statement but I recommend you still use the one you used for your I-20. It is valid until six months after the print date.

Guys I have a serious concern. During application I applied with my auntys financial statements it had exactly the required amount and was at of June 2018.i have been admitted and I intend scheduling for visa interview any time from now.

My challenge is this. The bank statement that is used during interviews, is it a new statement or the same one that I submitted to the school?
I hope it's the old one the school took because my aunt is no longer in the country and the money is no longer on that account. I only have a copy of the one submitted to that school dated June 2018.

If your school say its not needed, then its not needed. Don't bother yourself over nothing. I and so many other people got our study visas without writing any single test. If its a good school, then VO may not even ask you about it. If VO does, tell him/her that your school doesn't require that.

Not true. He can use only the company statement of account. So far it has enough funds in it. He can go to embassy with other documents like the certificate of incorporation of the company just to show the VO his level of prepared ness even though they might not even look at it. Embassy will do their own due diligence on the account in their own way.

Maybe there is discrepancy in the documents you submitted. You just have to go there as they said to speak with a visa officer.

On I-20 its just family fund, no name. But the statement I submitted to school is different from the one I went to embassy with

schedule another appointment as they suggested, maybe a visa officer just need to speak with u to clear his doubts on certain things and approve ur visa.

She gave me a white slip with the congratulation stuff, another white paper with the pick up locations and a yellow paper where she ticked AP for me. She told me I will be placed under AP to verify my bank statement and every other they tell you when they approve your visa about when to travel and things you will present at POE

After 3 weeks on AP, I got a mail from embassy today to go pick my passport from dhl and schedule another 221(g) appointment to speak with an interviewing officer. Any idea what this means?

Yes. So far its in an official and untampered envelope with your school stamp or seal. Use your school address as the sender address at the courier service. You can put your own phone number there in case.

My issue now is that i just discovered an error I made while filling the DS-160. I did enter Sept. 2019 as my program end date while my I-20 has May 2020. Any way to correct this? Please help o
