I don't think it is both parents.

I renewed successfully for my child. I went alone.
ibukunpops:
Go to their site , book an appointment to renew a passport. you pay cash on the day of the appointment (about N45,000).
Both parents most be available,  pictures of the child(from age 1-5) printed on A4 should also be taken along.

Click below to read information required
https://ng.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/minors-passport-renewal/

Below is the link to book the appointment

Below is the link to fill the form and print, enter the Social security no, also have the current passport handy

Hope this helps

Debs........It is spiritual wickedness in high places perpetuated by Nigerians NOT the US embassy.

Granted, the US embassy are only interviewing on Tuesdays (compared to everyday) because of COVID protocols and they are also limiting the number of slots per day......BUT my theory is that the employees of the company who are given the responsibility of scheduling these interviews (I won't mention their name) are only making a small percentage of them available to the general public.

What are they doing with the rest you may ask?? Good question....they are selling them is my theory. I heard of someone who paid an "agent" 150k to get an interview next week.....In the same Nigeria that people are seeing Jan 2024 when they sign in to schedule an interview.

There you have it o my sister. What about those that claim to just get earlier dates without using agent because they signed on at midnight??.....well perhaps they are collateral beneficiaries (rather than collateral damage, get it grin) of being at the right place at the right time (i.e. when the "agent" makes the early slots available to their "clients"wink.

Mmamaroon you’ve said all, it’s so obvious that it’s the company staff wrecking this havoc! What is 2024. Omooo I’m starting my vigil from tonight o. My cousin called one of these guys around the embassy premises because the guy has gotten him dates on two occasions on the spot in the past, so he told the guy he wants April and he said 100k!
How much did I pay for visa fee embarassed that I want to start paying 100k for dates. Abeg make I start my vigil, if I wan spend money I know where to spend my money for , no be for 100k date or 150k date. If he had said 30k I’d have considered but 100k is overwhelming

Good afternoon everyone and happy Sunday!
Pls I need your help. I want to give birth in US, had my first baby there and my visa is about to expire in May.. with what I’ve been reading, I think it’s better I travel with this visa before it expires. Pls I’ve been trying to book a flight and I’ve been seeing that flights are restricted for people with b1/b2 visa. Pls which airline accepts people with this visa.
Someone suggested Delta but I’m traveling with a child less than 2years and there’s no place on Delta site for under 2 years, means I have to pay for two adults. Pls I need your suggestions and help
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Debbieeeeeee: 5:19pm On Mar 28, 2021
Lochinny, I think you’ve made the best decision to travel before the visa expires. Please call Delta to find out why there’s no children category which is most likely due to COVID. They may have a no flying children policy this period so even if you book for two adults it still won’t fly. Call them to find out, that way you’re clear on why and what and what you require

You can be sent back if your visa is not valid 6 months or more.
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by pointednose: 8:30am On Mar 29, 2021
This is not true.

Visa only allows you to the point of entry. One can still use a valid visa to the point of entry even a day to the expiry date

Not correct at all, that 3 or 6 months rule only applies to passport

This is the best decision.

I know people who have travelled with a B1/B2 visa. Call the airlines to ask specific questions. Dont even try to renew the visa. Just go! All the best.

All the best with your interview.

Please let us know how the interview goes
Zinzar:
Good morning everyone! My interview is next month and I applied for a medical visa which is same as my previous Visa... I am due in June and this is my second birth .... what are my chances? Do I need to get a doctors reports and are they still asking for previous medical bill? Thank you
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by pointednose: 9:07am On Mar 29, 2021
Thinking about your question again. You said you had a medical visa before, then you prepare just the way you prepared the last time..with doctor's correspondence and all.

There is also a good chance that questions concerning your last birth including bills will also be asked. So you need adequate preparation.

I am personally skeptical about medical visa at this time and also especially cos trump "cancelled" it, but never say never.

Thank you so much everyone for ur kind advice. I really appreciate. Pls I would appreciate if someone can help suggest a good POE now. I wanted to use JFK which was what I used the last time I traveled to have my baby and by God’s grace, it was a smooth experience. The agent I’m using adviced against it that currently people avoid JFK because they now scrutinize everyone. I’m now confused on what to use.. I have JFK, Dallas Fort Worth and Atlanta as my options. Pls which one do you guys suggest I use? Thank you
