Please let's not create confusion on this thread. A US visa is not an authorization to enter into the USA. It is an authorization 'to apply' for entry into the USA. The application for entry is done during the interview with Customs at any USA border; this can be done even if you have 1 day remaining on your visa. The Customs personnel grants you authorization 'to enter' the USA and assigns you a stay duration.....this is typically 6months for B1/B2 visa holders but can be less.

If you receive a notice from the IRS that leads you to believe someone may have used your SSN (or ITIN) fraudulently, please notify the IRS immediately by responding to the contact at the number printed on the notice or letter.
If you're an actual or potential victim of identity theft and would like the IRS to mark your account to identify any questionable activity, please complete Form 14039, Identity Theft Affidavit PDF. See the "Instructions for Submitting this Form" in Form 14039, for information on submitting it by mail or fax.
You may also contact the IRS for specialized assistance at 800-908-4490. These IRS employees are available to answer questions about identity theft and resolve any tax account issues that resulted from identity theft.
Review Publication 5027, Identity Theft Information for Taxpayers, for more information. It's available in English PDF and Spanish PDF.

People swear by JFK really.
The gust about scrutiny at JFK is new to me. I have not travelled in a while. Maybe you can ask people who have travelled recently especially those who have travelled for the purpose of birthing.
All the best.

Thanks a lot Debbie! I’ve successfully booked for jfk, then would enter a local flight from there
|Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Lochinny: 7:26pm On Apr 06|
Thank you pointednose! I still went ahead with jfk booking despite what people were saying.. used it in my first baby and by God’s grace it was hitch free

Lochinny:Great idea ! May your entry be successful please keep the house updated. As for me I still dey find date to renew for Lagos. Sometimes I’ll see January 2nd 2024, sometimes I’ll see January 9 2024 so funny.
Another thing would have been to book BA or DELTA, one that the POE is NYC , so you don’t have to stress to bother about local flight booking. Regardless sha we move!
|Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Debbieeeeeee: 8:38am On Apr 07|
Lochinny:It will be hitch free for you in Jesus name. JFK has hardly given headache to anyone except in exceptional cases.
