Hmmmmm AWS

I will advise you start from Office 365 / Exchange Online and Azure, then start from there
AWS is more developer centric but if u start from azure which is user friendly, u can then transition to AWS

Thanks... I pass this on to a friend

Trying to access how easy it is to break into Aws if you go through training and certification. If that enough to get you in the door

... Made an attempt to claim maternity allowance...? And what happened after the attempt.

SMA not public funds but however, it appears from my understanding that MA might in some ways be claiming from public funds. You are only entitled to Maternity allowance if not on SMA and whatever you get affects your other benefits. In essence, it is linked to the whole benefit system and entitlement.

Moreover, you have to have made a certain amount of NI contributions to get most benefits including this MA.

Actually MA is not public funds, all you need to fulfil is NI contributions. I claimed MA when i had ‘no recourse’ condition on my visa and that never affected my subsequent renewals.

12500 /12 =1041.67 this will be your monthly allowance before tax so 30000/12 = 2500 - 1041.67=£1,458.33 (taxable allowance)this is the amount you will be taxed on
20% of £1,458=291.66 tax payable
Your ni should be about £204
Take home pay should be approx about ( 2,500-292-204)= £2,004 it could be less after pension deductions about 3%.
Hope this helps?
Good calculation. with the calculation here, I will like to further ask, will he at any point hearn £2500 before going to £200,4, since he's entitled to monthly allowance. E.g 2500 × 5 months is =£12,500, so after exhausting the 12,5k the remaining 6 month he earns £2000. Your calculations makes it look like he will outrightly earn £200.4 from the very first Month. Does it work this way?

Why I am giving this scenerio is that I saw on YouTube a nurse who recently arrived at the uk share her monthly payslip of £1700 or so, only NI and pension was deducted, she said the uk her so nice that she won't get tax until she exceed her 12.5 allowance. So again will he at any point earn £2500

if you overpay your tax at the end of the tax year, HMRC will refund you. Also, if you underpay, they will send you a letter telling you that you owe and you will be required to pay back.

Usually, your tax free allowance is removed from your basic salary and the remaining is spread out for the year. It might seem your friend is taking a lot home right now but when the day of reckoning comes, she will pay. Hopefully cost of her lifestyle is not equal to what she takes home right now before tax

I did aws solution architect and I'm not studying for azure, IMHO azure is tougher.

Maybe because i work with it

AWS is a bit 'tougher' than azure

The exams though, not navigating the interface or deploying on it

I passed on the 4th attempt, so it didn't come easy.. The aws cloud is well architected and more user friendly than azure hence why they are still in forefront of cloud service. The only reason azure is getting more traction is because substantial number of organisation use the Microsoft stack - o365, Ms dynamics, azure Devops and so on... It's inherently easy to integrate into azure cloud

Keep learning it and familiarise yourself with the services on AWS... Opportunities do come when you would just be able to blag your way in using that knowledge. Start from aws cloud practitioner

Can anybody suggest where a couple and their 4 year old child can live with the near option of getting mortgage, please anywhere in England.
I will appreciate everybody’s input and suggestions.

Ah. AWS, user friendly? If you say AWS is more user friendly, I wonder what azure would look like lmao

Haven’t had to use AWS professionally but the basic services I’ve used on my own were a pain. How would you recommend one prepare for the AWS professional course?

If the tax is calculated well I would say no... he shouldn't earn £2,500 after tax. The 12.5 is evenly calculated for a year. Divided by 12.......so 2k salary range after tax will be earned each month .

However if after April to March let say mid way the salary falls significantly or increases then the person might have over paid or under paid tax and hears from HMRC

Well, I believe its easier than azure... What I did was to use acloudguru. I opened a free tier and I was following the steps. Tbh, anyone in tech should learn one of the 3 - AWS, Azure or GCP as it is getting to that stage where any org that's not on cloud would die a natural death.
Maybe, I am biased because I am only learning cloud to secure it.

This allowance is accumulative. Eg if your tax code is for eg. 1250L and you only start earning in tax month 3 which is June, then your tax allowance for the month of June should be £12500/12 x3 =£3,125 . If you haven’t earned up to £3,125 by tax Month 3 then you have no tax to pay. Please note this depends on your tax code. If you’re tax code is 1250L M1 then your pay will be calculated not on accumulated basis . This means as long as you earn more than £1,042 monthly you will get taxed on the balance.

What your thoughts on AWS training and entry ...... although maybe not AWS Devops but solution architect or other AWS roles

That's a tough one to be honest, because there are still a number of considerations for the newbie - Networking in particular is a challenge, especially when you have to calculate subnetting

It's also highly unlikely to be offered a pure AWS role in isolation. AWS like Azure can be likened to the evolution of virtualization, which in principle was always a 3rd line function anyway (I assume you know what I mean by this)

Either way there's a looot of studying and CV padding required to get a job managing AWS for most companies, only to be offered on average 50-60k in London.

If you're new to IT, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you're a geek.

Thanks for the input .... this is noted.

You see a lot of zero to hero training for AWS and makes it seems after training the jobs are there in abundance and so easy...so I kind of curious for a friend. Many years ago I went from zero to hero but for SAP implementation and wondered if it would be similar.....both are cloud based one kind. Sure many other thing I learnt on the way but the first deployment I was able to wing it somehow..lol .

Is networking hard due to self learning the application with things like udemy or if you are trained by maybe a working aws professional and properly trained. Would this be a challenge as well ?

She qualifies for MA by way of having worked over 13weeks and paid the minimum NI required. A friend just warned/reminded her that since her visa reads not qualified for public funds it may affect her visa application at the point of renewal (say in d next 2/3years).

And that's the point she got confused
