I believe " free will " in regards to angels and humans doesn't Hinge on beings but rather on the character of the creator. This implies, God by character, doesn't do without giving free will.

It doesn't matter what you call it. But that is the thing that makes God who he is. Humans, animals, angels and other creatures has that free will that is limited by what you know, hear about, how far you can think and other factors. And most of this factors couldn't be control by that Individual at some points. There is that one that really control things beyond what you can think of. He control everything

First off, what we may or may not have been taught about anything at any point in our lives, whether in childhood or in adulthood, should be subject to verification by appropriate authorities. In Christianity, a teaching is only valid to the degree that it agrees with what the Bible actually says.

Second, I don't really see from your narration above how being created to worship God and run errands for Him means that angels don't have free will. Maybe you could explain that a little better.

Third, I think that the very fact of Satan's sin is proof that angels have free will. Therefore, the question "do angels have free will?" is already answered.
