It is really worrisome that most Nigerians go to school but end up being uneducated or at best, educated-illiterates!

Today, I want to correct the misinterpretation of Buhari's 5% votes statement in the US in 2015 after he won the 2015 general elections.

Many educated illiterates, mostly from a certain region of Nigeria misinterpreted Buhari's 5% statement in the US in 2015 as Igbos being 5% of Nigeria's voters.......what ignoramuses forming sophistication shocked

This is to enlighten those who didn't understand Buhari's 2015 5% statement; Buhari's 5% votes meant that out of total 100% vote Buhari got in 2015, that just 5% of his votes came from the Southeast region, meaning that Southeast didn't support him becoming the President in 2015......not that Southeast votes is just 5% of total voters in Nigeria.

Even common sense ought to tell anyone that Igbos are even much more in number than Yorubas if not same. At least, in every state you go to in Nigeria, there is at least 50,000 Igbos living there.......and Igbos alone make up at least 25 - 35% of total voters in Lagos alone, you can check INEC register if in doubt, which was why Tinubu paid MC Oluomo to use his agberos to stop Igbos from voting in Lagos in the 2015 and 2019 general elections, just to suppress Igbo votes in Lagos and make him deliver Lagos to Buhari.

Most of you from that region just went to school and be looking at women's ikebe, no single brain angry angry

Apparently, you are the one who misunderstood the President but disingenuously want to impose it on others who you should have patiently sought for clarification.

The President was very clear that with his insignificant votes of 5% from the South East, he still won and he did so because others made personal sacrifices to thwart his defeat fuelled largely by hate and bigotry against him by most Igbo voters in the SE. How you confused this clear and categorical statement by the President beggars belief.

On Lagos voting strength, there are a few localities in Lagos with non-Yoruba in their majority and why you confuse it is not clear to me. For example, places like Idi Araba, Agege have more northern presence while areas like Ago and some parts of that LGA which has its secretariat burnt by IPOB last year have more Igbo and it is possible that in those areas , Igbo votes may account for 30-35% but the LGAs with the highest voter strength like Alimosho have very insignificant Igbo votes presence and if you go to mainland and outskirts villages in LGAs like Epe, Ikorodu , Badagry, etc, you will even struggle to find Igbos and no Igbo has a family house in Lagos Island let alone determine who gets to elect reps for Lagos Central.

So except you live in Ago or Mazzammazza and those localities around Ajeromi Ifelodun, and you are an Igbo who was brought up outside Lagos and not familiar with Lagos, there is no way you will wake up on a Monday morning and insinuate or give a false exaggeration of Igbo voting strength in Lagos especially outside Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA.

It is not a coincidence that the APC has and will always win Lagos. Even if Igbo organize all their votes, they can only win in Ago and those few localities not even the total vote of a single LGA because the Yoruba there will cast their vote to neutralise the Igbo votes.
Few years ago, I saw it happen in Ago on an official visit. The Igbo votes won by just 5 votes of 89 to 84 in that ward. My Igbo brothers and sisters were not surprised. They complained that all the Yoruba market women who came en masse all cast their votes for ACN.

Technically, it is true sir, especially if the apathy to a leading candidate is fueled by intense hatred and bigotry. Even PMB realised it by lessonz he learnt when twice he chose Igbo men as Vice President candidate. He didn't get Igbo votes and still didn't win and he won when he didn't still get Igbo votes. The facts are in the numbers.

Igbos alone cannot make any candidate a President in Nigeria, just as Yorubas alone or Hausas alone cannot.

It requires at least 2 major ethnic regions in Nigeria or 4 geopolitical zones to give a candidate massive votes for the candidate to emerge President.

The people that determine who wins Nigeria's Presidential election aren't Hausa nor Igbo or Yoruba, it's Middle-Belt and Niger Delta.

Middle-Belt + Hausa-Fulani votes made Buhari President, Yoruba votes only capped it.

Whereas it was only Igbos and Southsouth(Minus Edo) that voted massively for Goodluck, so there was no way Goodluck could have won.

All the times Awolowo contested for President and failed Yorubas voted for him massively so why didn't Yorubas make him President

Yes Igbos hate Islam because of its violent nature.

Islam turns people to barbarians, and that's why Igbos hate any fanatic Muslim.

It was that hatred for Islam that pushed Nzeogwu to exterminate Ahmadu Bello because Bello was a fanatic Muslim just like Buhari.

If Buhari was a head in the 60s, they would have eliminated him since and his case forgotten like Bello.

The numbers speak for themselves. Please don't confuse voters turnout with actual votes.
The SW will mobilise so expect a huge voter turnout. The SE has the least registered voters.

forget about voters this or that, majority of Igbos have lost confidence in Nigeria and therefore they don't even register to vote most often. Those that register usually don't vote. They just register to have the ID card. Like me when I was in that.... I don't vote.

Igbos are much more in number than Yoruba.

After Hausa, it's Igbo in population then Yoruba, Ijaw, Fulani, etc

And even in the Southwest registered voters figure there, Lagos make up 35% of southwest registered voters and Igbos make up 25 - 30% of Lagos registered voters.

Igbos too makeup at least 20% or more of Southsouth registered voters and also in other regions.

The part of your hate-driven diatribe that caught my attention was the false kite you’re trying to fly in the second paragraph! It’s complete bullshit!

What Buhari meant by his ill-adviced statement was that ‘those who gave him 5% of the votes he got in 2015 cannot expect to be treated equally and benefit equally with those who gave him winning percentages (can’t remember if he actually mentioned a figure)’! His statement had nothing to do with him inferring that he won despite the 5% votes the south-east gave him, due to the *‘personal sacrifice’ others made! *And i’m guessing you smugly had the south-west in mind here abi? wink

No there are Igbos there but I am mentioning the areas I know very well Igbos are majority. Places that are Igbo community just like some areas in Kano and Kaduna

Anyways you can't manufacture stats for me.
Igbo's in Lagos are not up to 20%. Maybe 15% or 10%.

The Egun of badagry and co account for maybe 17 - 20% also.

Not to talk of non Nigerians, the other ethnic groups and the Yorubas.

You,guys are visible in trade doesn't mean you're the most populous.
There is no state in south west that has more than 50,000 Igbos self. (Apart from Lagos)

Talk reality not some here say.

Igbos make up 25 to 30% of Lagos population.

Check every December when Igbos exit from Lagos and check how scanty Lagos is. You cannot change reality.

Igbos in Ore Ondo state alone are more than 18,000.

Go to Eleyele in Ife, Igbos dominate there.

See I am not just saying all these. I am giving you facts that everybody knows
