When I saw the post...I struggled to look away and ignore....I seriously do not understand the part 'if you know what you are doing'..does it mean people like us who applied since December and are still expecting to hear from them do not know what we are doing? All applications are not the same. If yours came out favourable and really fast, just thank God for the favour. laeffizy: 4 Likes |

Hello everyone, I'm new here. First of, thank you to every contributors here, I read from page 600 till here and I've learnt new things together with what I had researched, nonetheless, I still have further questions. 1. How much (or range) do I have to have in my account to show proof of funds for student visas? 2. How much (or range) is the medical insurance for student visas too? If you could pls add some examples, it'd be helpful. 3. About the Police report, how can one get it? Do I just walk into any police station and request for it or it has to be an headquarters or somewhere else? If there's an example of a place, pls suggest. I stay in Ibadan so I can work with Lagos too. 4. On the Medical report, can it be together with the Radiological report too or separately? Name of health centers I can do that too? (Price range pls?) 5. I have read about accommodation reservation here but I didn't see any website, can someone help with that too? 6. Finally, for the Birth certificate, will the one from NPC suffice? Pls keep in mind my questions are for student visa. Thank you so much. I look forward to the replies. 1 Like |

Presh19:Things are really slow now with the high commission especially Lagos, i guess they have a lot of back logs and also Covid,by the way Some people who Submitted in January have not gotten response,so you will have to be very patient. 1 Like |

FunmilAnu: i submitted 9th of February, i sent a mail 11 march, they replied still under processing. study visa processing is minimum of 8 weeks i think |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by FunmilAnu: 9:06am On Mar 30, 2021 |
duxkyd:Yeah ideally it is 8 weeks or even less. Before covid and all a friend of mine got hers in 4 weeks, the two different times she applied, that was 2017 and 2019.But in 2020 it became really slow, a family friend submitted in Late October and Got his visa in February at some point we even thought he was lying because we knew it doesn't take that long but when i saw this thread i now understand. The Guy is in SA now UJ precisely. 3 Likes |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 4:25pm On Mar 30, 2021 |
Hello house Goodevening please i submitted my application to the vfs on 10th february for a short visit with my 6 month old son to visit his dad in durban but i got my passport from the UPs today and i was denied due to insufficient fund for the trip despite my husband has 19000 rand in his account. What do u suggest i do ? Go for an appeal or reapply and if i am to reapply please how do i go about it.thanks so much and i am anticipating your response in advance |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by alert20: 6:16pm On Mar 30, 2021 |
Nikky1759: 19000 rands is equivalent to #480k plus, this funds will not be enough for both you and your baby to travel to SA.... The Eco knows you are not coming back to Nigeria if given the visa .... Your hubby needs to source for funds if he truly wants you and his son to come over.... I assume you guys would purchase return flights ticket, and feeding for the duration you will be there with him?? 3 Likes |

@ alert thanks so much for the reply honestly he has forgotten totally thats why i am asking if we can appeal and with sufficient amount in thr account instead of reapply and if it to reapply can we do that right away or wait a litlle bit?? |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Presh19: 10:08pm On Mar 30, 2021 |
Nikky1759: From my observation in this wonderful platform I will advice he finds the account and then you can reapply instead of appealing according to a previous poster that got denied,he said he stated he was denied on his letter of introduction and he was granted after reapplying, best of luck and to us all waiting 1 Like |
