Computer Guys Help Me (Solved) by squash47(m): 3:44pm On Mar 28, 2021
Hey guys, I recently updated my laptop from windows 7 to windows 10.

Now, I can't find the Bluetooth drive on the device manager.

Does anyone know how I can fix this ?.

Modified

Following the advice I received here, I decided to step my laptop down from windows 10 to windows 8.

After which, I activated the windows 8. Then everything started working as they should.

I believe the issue was from the windows 10 OS.

I ran a search on Google and I realized win10 has a lot of unfixed bugs.

I will advise anyone with similar issue to step down to a lesser OS like win 7 or 8.

Thanks all for your contribution.

It's as a result of a missing Bluetooth driver, if you upgraded the PC yourself then I want to believe you should be able to find the appropriate Bluetooth drivers.

Copy the model of the laptop and do some Google search, an appropriate downloaded Bluetooth should fix it. Goodluck

Truth is, if you don't have some basic I.T skills, you will have tough time fixing it yourself. Take it to someone who knows how to do it or watch some YouTube videos on how to fix it

Your location...

Was it functioning with windows 7?

If yes, where do you get your windows 10 from? Do you download it or purchase it?

Windows 10 has the ability to to auto repair itself with automatic updates, if it isn't doing so... then the window you installed isn't genuine.

How to fix it, you have 2 options here (I won't be able to type much until I get your answers to questions I asked)

Buy or download latest "Driver pack 2020/21" (please note the latest driver pack is extremely heavy, it'll require you go with external hard drive to copy) if you're downloading, bear in mind the size is huge.

Whatever means you used, once you get the driver pack, simply drive your PC... This should fix the problem and if it doesn't... Simply get another window 10 and install on your PC.

You're welcome.

You can try this 3rd option, if it doesn't work then you try the first 2 options I gave.

Go to the Device manager and locate the Bluetooth software (check if there's any error sign on it) weather there is error sign or not, right click and choose the "update" option from internet. Wait for the results if it'll update or it'll tell you "you're using the latest version", if it updates successfully your Bluetooth should start working fine.

Also try switching on your Bluetooth/wifi manually first

The icon itself is not showing in device manager. That's the major problem.

Get another window 10 from a different place and install.

The fault is from the operating system.

you are right. but truth is, I resetted the OS myself and I even activated some softwares myself.

I think I'm technically inclined to a reasonable extent.
