Oshodi Transport interchange is the Biggest Bus terminal in Nigeria and West Africa. It is the first of its kind in Nigeria.

The Oshodi transport interchange is a world-class bus terminal in Oshodi, Lagos State, Nigeria. It is a multi three-story facility featuring three separate terminals linked by the skywalk bridge. It is built in between two important road. The Oshodi Apapa Expressway and the Agege Motor road.

It is one of the newest infrastructural
development in Lagos to boost business and the transportation in Lagos.

The Oshodi transport interchange is not just a bus terminal. It has become the newest tourist destination in Lagos.

When every part of the facility opens fully, it will become a tourist hub. It will feature recreational and entertainment centres. It will have a museum, art gallery, fast foods, lounge, mall, hotel and hubs. Not only that, but it is going to be an economic hub.

There are 3 different terminals all linked with a skywalk bridge.

The construction of the Oshodi Bus terminal was done by an indigenous company known as Planet projects limited. Planet Projects Limited is a Nigerian based business with headquarters in Lagos.

The skywalk is the longest free-standing bridge in Nigeria. It is one of the facilities meant to ease movement between the three terminals. The skywalk links the three terminals together. The skywalk bridge that links terminal one to terminal two is about 53.2 metres in length while the one linking terminal two and three is about 155 metres in length. To access the terminal, you will need to use the escalators and the lifts.

It's amazing, that This project from start to finish was handled by a Nigerian firm, Nigerian engineers and Nigerian workers. Project Planets limited is really setting the pace. kudos to them.

Hmmmmmm this is wrong information. Terminal 1 is for interstate buses, Lagos BRT buses don't do interstate, the Terminal 1 part is controlled by the regular interstate buses . It is however still being managed by the government. You can get a bus to different locations in Nigeria from Terminal 1. there are buses going to the South west, south east and the north and there are plans to add more route.

So this interchange was created because of buses.

So you spend millions of dollars to build a bus station....this is hilarious grin grin

I give that place 4 years, it will turn to waste site, the toilets will be filled with feaces, urine smell will be over the place, people trying to sell things will occupy everwhere.

Maintenance is zero.
They have started spoiling things there . You didn't show us the space they gave the Park busses. Last time i went there, it has become dirty and i was wondering when the Terminal was finished.

Seriously, We need to stop defacing goverment properties and care for it. It is for our own benefit. Mechanics will just come there be pouring engine oil on the floor making the road looking black and soggy like the devil's highway.

@Travelwaka. No lie, can you say that this facility is properly maintained ?

Well I have been there, looks good in picture than in real life, so many unneeded and unused spaces, i still ask myself what for, walking around that park is confusing and tiring, is so huge that I can't understand why. To be sincere this complex never reduced lagos traffic. Even around the complex there's so much congestion. I have seen so many abdoned terminals or checkpoints in lagos that ain't functioning or in use so why build another one. This is not what we need and it will never reduce the stressful Lagos life.

cool

One of the reason I like jagaban, he has taste for people who knows how to govern....

He has good candidates that have always bring their idea to fruition, but he didn’t handle ambode’s case well, that guy would have surpass what fashola did.

If I just see jagaban face to face like this, nah to just bill am, make him give me the councilor of my ward in ikoyi Obalende in my fathers family house or Lewis street Lagos island for my mothers family house.

Re: Oshodi Transport Interchange, A World Class Terminal In Lagos by travelwaka: 10:49am On Mar 31, 2021
First you need to understand the concept behind this. Without this building the whole place will accommodate less than 200 buses. With this facility in place, it will take over 800 buses, again the plan is to depopulate the roads and encourage people to use public transportation rather than drive. The one way to achieve that is to make bus station convenient and suitable for everyone. Also, it is not just a bus park, it is also becoming a tourist attraction in Lagos. Why do you think most people visit the Dubai mall? They visit not only because of what they wanna buy, but to experience other side attractions in the mall. Imagine the number of people that will be visiting and the amount that will be generated from tourist every year.
