Another public funds spent wrongly.
We don't have buses, boats, trains, etc but we are building billion-naira bus terminals.
First things first. This has not addressed the transportation deficit in Lagos State.

Oshodi Transport interchange is the Biggest Bus terminal in Nigeria and West Africa. It is the first of its kind in Nigeria.

The Oshodi transport interchange is a world-class bus terminal in Oshodi, Lagos State, Nigeria. It is a multi three-story facility featuring three separate terminals linked by the skywalk bridge. It is built in between two important road. The Oshodi Apapa Expressway and the Agege Motor road.

It is one of the newest infrastructural
development in Lagos to boost business and the transportation in Lagos.

The Oshodi transport interchange is not just a bus terminal. It has become the newest tourist destination in Lagos.

When every part of the facility opens fully, it will become a tourist hub. It will feature recreational and entertainment centres. It will have a museum, art gallery, fast foods, lounge, mall, hotel and hubs. Not only that, but it is going to be an economic hub.

There are 3 different terminals all linked with a skywalk bridge.

The construction of the Oshodi Bus terminal was done by an indigenous company known as Planet projects limited. Planet Projects Limited is a Nigerian based business with headquarters in Lagos.

Below are Aeriel view of the different terminals

Beautiful. Marvelous.
This is the type of news expected daily from a progressive country, not daily news of mass slaughter of human beings by Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and bandits.

One Nigeria is the great stumbling block to human and economic development in Yoruba land and rest of southern regions of Nigeria.

Masses ignore the southern politicians who are only after their bank accounts in politics of one Nigeria.

In my info source is correct, this was designed and built by local engineer.
Ambode. Some people have their reasons for denying you the second chance but I will try as much as possible to learn something about life from your case and will tell my grand children about your story.

If they don't build it, we still complain, now it's built, we are complaining. Is it buhari or governors that would go there to smoke weed or dump refuse?

We have followership problem in this nation. All we know how to do is to rant.

thebosstrevor1:
So this interchange was created because of buses.

So you spend billions of dollars to build a bus station....this is hilarious grin grin

I give that place 4 years, it will turn to waste site, the toilets will be filled with feaces, urine smell will be over the place, people trying to sell things will occupy everwhere.

Hmmmmmm this is wrong information. Terminal 1 is for interstate buses, since Lagos buses don't do interstate, that part is controlled by the regular interstate buses. It is however still being managed by the government. You can get a bus to location in Nigeria from Terminal 1. there are buses going to the South west, south east and the north and there are plans to add more route.

That place gan gan is dirty

First you need to understand the concept behind this. Without this building the whole place will accommodate less than 200 buses. With this building it will take over 800 buses, again the plan is to depopulate the roads and encourage people to use public transportation rather than drive. The one way to achieve that is to make it convenient and suitable. Also it has become a tourist attraction. Why do you think most people visit the Dubai mall? They visit not only because of what they wanna buy but to experience other attractions at the mall. Imagine the number of people that will be visiting to check out some of the tourist attractions at the mall?

What is 800 commercial buses compare with the thousands of commercial buses on lagos roads.

It might be a tourist attraction for now, that is because most lagosians have never seen anything like this.

And pls, don't compare dubai mall with this bus terminal project.

People are already complaining that the place is already littered with dirts.

Unfortunately, this is probably the only worthy and best in the whole of the Giant of Africa
Impressive

Ipob don't like this kind of things or people who have such vision the prefer share the money. That is why they have the likes of ikpeazu, GEJ and the rest. Their vision is only for the whole of Nigeria to be like Aba. They hate lagos and Tinubu for the way lagos looks and want pdp to come and change lagos to look like Aba

I will to ask you...has this interchange help in reducing traffic around that area?

Built by a native Nigerian company, not by the likes of Julius Berger or a Chinese company.

It shows what we can do, if the government gives locals a chance and Nigerians step up to the plate.

Kudos all around..

It is a nice edifice. Hope our government will be able to maintain it. I also pray that the animal in our people will not go and burn it down one day because what people did to BRT during end SARS was barbaric.
