understand my point before you begin act like i don't know what i am talking. to file a tax, income tax or anyhow you wan call am you need to have Social Insurance Number right? so from the canadian website i took this snippet "The Social Insurance Number (SIN) is a 9 digit number that you need to work in Canada or to have access to government programs and benefits. A SIN is issued to one person only and it cannot legally be used by anyone else. You are responsible for protecting your SIN." the SIN is unique to a single person. you need it to work. your personal information are tied to it. with it they can identify who you are. so when you show a tax filed by you they can verify you that way. salford1 that is a form of verification.

i know different district have slightly different rules but in all of those district you have to Identify yourself or have someone ID you. without documents to prove who you are or someone identifying you there is no voting for you.
