Thank you JustMellow for your time and the useful suggestion. You are well appreciated.

I actually requested to be moved to May Session by School (A) same week we started full lecture, aside the 2 weeks prepapatory classses which were not graded. So, nothing has actually happened and there is no credit to be transferred to School (B).

My sincere regards

JustMellow:

Hello Abbeylicious,

You should do the change of DLI from within Canada. I believe your return is for obvious reasons known to you, IF not, I would say you could have volunteered for community service or any humanitarian organization fighting against COVID-19 in Canada. Good ties to Canada esp when applying for PR (PNP).

Since you've begun studies with school A, resume with school A in May and request for a change of school to B. [You can't just bail like that except if maybe no classes had been taken, then you can resume directly with school B by only updating your GcKey and/or notifying IRCC via CSE from within Canada.]

When school A sanctions it, automatic credit transfer will be initiated and if any down payment was made, the number of classes taken will be subtracted from it and the balance transferred too, or as it may be.

You are now a bonafide student of your school, reach out to the international office or admission office to know the implications of the classes already taken (online) before anything. This will help you understand if you will be resuming in May or September.

If the implication(s) as advised by your school (A) is reasonable that you can resume school B without the need for credit transfer despite the taken online classes, then you can resume in September (by effecting the change from within Canada) IF:

• You've not officially requested an official transfer of credits to the new DLI;

• The LOA of school A is still valid and can provide course registration for online studies in school A 'if' asked at the POE;

• You will remember to say at the POE that you're resuming school A instead of B. Technically, applicants can study online from outside Canada 'till December 31st, 2021, and can still come to Canada for the completion part (or the PGWP) later on.

For any further clarification, let me know.

Best of Luck

Greetings everyone!

Dear Nairaland gurus

@OtunbaTee @Frankrobbn1 @Lekkiboboe @Olasubomy @Justmellow and other gurus;

It it advisable to use my dad’s axamansard savings account as POF as supposed to a regular bank statement

I’ll appreciate your prompt response
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by EverGrateful: 9:37am On Apr 06, 2021
I am not a guru o. But you will receive a request for mybankstatement even if you use AXA mansard. Note that AXA is not on the MBS platform. If you do not have another option, use it. When they request, you liquidate into the account your dad uses to transfer funds into AXA. This will show a track of how funds have been transferred to AXA.

You will then provide IRCC with the MBS statement for that account along side the AXA statement, hopefully your dad's bank is on MBS platform

Taking my SIWES into consideration, I have more experience in botany. I don't have any experience in HR or CR.
I mean being accepted into the school for January intake. Or is it not possible? Should I have to wait till May?

Check out the course you are interested most likely Botany.. Yes Siwes is also a work experience.

so go to the schools portal and course and check if the program is open for January admission.

Please sir how do you apply so that you can get nse request?

NSE request is automated whenever you apply for your study permit without the requisite documents. By applying through the NSE program, you need to provide copy of MyBank Statement Certificate and scanned copy of your IELTS report form.

Hope you've ordered GCMS notes. I'll suggest you bombard them with mails everyday. When is your program starting?

I send mails and webforms daily, I’ve done everything I know I can do, omo right now I’m leaving it for God to complete.

My program has already started, we are in the 12th week..

Please how do you improve on this skills.

Improving on those skills is a no-brainer for me as I read a lot of highly intellectual books and my day-to-day life, i interact with extremely impactful people who inculcate imperial values in me. I trust you can do better if you focus considerable interest in making this feat.

I took a piece of advice from here and sent a mail to a constituency member of the town where my school is located. I received a response from his office asking for details of my application and they assisted in making enquires to IRCC on my behalf. I got my PPR in less than 2 weeks after that. I don't know if it's a coincidence but I thought I should mention it.

Personally, I don't think its a wise idea to use only your dad's axamansard savings account for your visa application.

SIWES is not a work experience, it's an industrial training, since you don't have a work experience (paid) related to what you studied & no Job experience in HR (at least 1 year & paid), your best shot is to apply for a PG. Cert program related to your Botany degree.

The program I would av suggested you go for is
PG. Cert, Sustainable Agriculture at Fleming College, Ontario,

You might want to build a career in AGRICULTURAL BOTANY and be an AGRICULTURAL BOTANIST by applying it to Agriculture.

As you know that

"An Agricultural botanist is someone who use the science of botany to help improve farming which brings about SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE"

Unfortunately, this program at Fleming College is a SEPTEMBER (FALL intake) program, it is not available for January (Winter intake) or Spring (May Intake).

You can await suggestions for Botany related programs that would be available for January 2022 from other members of this forum

Finally, you need to work on your Admission Preparation before you submit your Application owing to your 3rd Class degree,
the reason you need to do this is so you can boost your Admission chances despite having a 3rd Class.

To boost your admission chances, take your time and go through everything inside the link below

https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/467#100415766

Additionally, if possible do some short Botany & Agriculture free or paid courses and earn the certificate, upload the certificate as one of your SUPPORTING DOCUMENT for the admission when applying.

Well, there have been cases of people from this thread that got their study permit with student/study loan. For Canadian study permit, like always, everyone’s case is different!

Anon123:

I doubt the bolded...

One of the many angles Visa officers process applications is based on your financial strength to cater for your tuition and living expenses. A visa officer citing that an applicant acquired a loan to pusure a study in canada is a VERY BIG RED FLAG. One of the many denial reasons are Financial reasons and Purpose of visit.

I also dont believe a loan can serve as a hometie. A loan is enough to show the visa officer you are not financially bouyant enough to undertake this canada study journey(financial reasons) therefore no reason to why you wish to undertake such expense to come to Canada (Purpose of visit).

Besides to pay back a loan while in canada is enough to deny you. How can you be struggling to meet your needs in canada and also meeting up with financial obligations to payback a loan.

He himself has made it clear that he was not familiar with the loan system, and we've all learnt something.

No one knows it all. We are all learning. And his input is appreciated, just as much as the OP's input.

We will all succeed in our endeavors by God's grace.
