Even stats show that Chuks does create the higher volume of chances in a team compared to Pepe. Either from dribbles turned into chances or shots or from chance creations stats (Key passes and Bug chances created).
Stats is not everything but when combined with Eye Test (watching for yourself), it reveals close to everything if not everything.

ChrisKels:

To me, Stats be like mini skirt, it doesn't show everything. Pepe would not effect the dynamics of a game as Chuks would

But the whole argument erupted when I challenged the notion that some you guys stated about CIV having the better first XI than Nigeria.
You were the one trying to twist my midfield angles. You were running away from Ndidi vs Kessie. grin

My points were two fold:

1. We have the better First XI and we would have more players in a combined Naija-CIV XI right now.

2. We also have the better depth than CIV does overall.

Simple. So it's you who rather jumped in when I quoted your initial lineup from pages back and didn't understand my angles of argument.

I just showed you my angle of argument which has stood the test of time since yesterday, so what exactly is your own angle of argument, since it is no longer about Ekong and Akpoguma being better than Boly and Baily, and Kessie sitting in a midfield option that comprise Ndidi, Kessie and Aribo?

Oasis007 now 001... Always charging in to push his own agenda as well.

You refer to stats right? Between Ndidi and Kessie? I have them right here... wink

Please who has the overall stats rating on the prestigious Whoscored for the past four seasons including this current one between these two? How many times have Kessie actually been rated better? cool

You guys are feeding my laughter today.... Lol

grin

There is something you need to grab Brother. No one knows it all. You do seem you're the most knowledgeable here, thus you can't be challenged on any Post(s) you drop.

You were hammering on a a single Stat to prove Kessie is a DM, yet you quickly dig deeper, beyond a Season to prove Ndidi is better than Kessie......? LMAO.

Nerdy, stop proving what you are not. Dishing Posters with contrary Views is wrong. Stop being emotional with Discourse, especially related to SE Players.

You're very right Brother. Stats are so misleading at times. Look at Lingard at Westham, if you check his present stats, then compare it with KDB, trust me you won't believe your Eyes.

Look at Andrew444, he called Hamed Diallo a CM, but when he's corrected, he didn't fight it rather accept it.

Akpoguma over Boly. I never said Ekong over Bailly. Chris... You delight in lying and twisting just to push a silly narrative because it is only kids who do such. And you just said you are not one but I am beginning to doubt it with the ease you keep twisting words. Whoever said Ekong will make the Naija-CIV combined XI?? I never even called Balogun, it is now Ekong in the Championship??

I also said Aribo will play CM ahead of Seri. These are proper CMs and not a CDM like Kessie. Kessie was always paired with Ndidi and Kessie will sit for him. No caps. But in a double pivot, an Ndidi-Kessie combo is possible and indeed Aribo will make way.

No dey twist abeg.

It is a waste of time talking to one who keeps twisting the facts of one's statements. You are totally Ivorian obsessed. Carry on. grin

Kante is a world class player that has my fullest respects. But the last time Kante was really the most dominant CDM in the league was as far back as 2017/2018 also following up on his 2016/17 exploits with Chelsea.

Ndidi have been the best CDM in the league for the past three seasons now including this one. That throne used to Kante's but it is now Ndidi's. That's the context.

Kante remains the boss he is. No one is taking that from him.

Yes nah ndidi has been nah for sure

But you already know what I am talking about ,Baba Na Baba

I threw this up from Sofascore to make my point about who will pair Bailly better. I was specific about the LCB and RCB roles. Akpoguma edged in three of those attributes with Boly edging in just two. See below.

But it obviously flew over your head but you couldn't grasp it.

Yes on Whoscored, Boly is rated higher this season so far but Akpoguma has been injured for a long while too. So that is a factor.

Don't forget too that Whoscored had Osimhen in their TOTW while ignoring Simy but Sofascore had Simy in their TOTW ignoring Osimhen. Stats can sometimes differ in certain cases. On Akpoguma and Boly, my point was on Attributes to play that role and this chart below proves it. Anything else?? grin

NB-
Boly: Blue
Akpo: Green.

Nerdy would pick out Stats that suit his Narrative and keeps it on replay mode until it crashes. Check the full stats of both Kessie and Ndidi below for this Season, it's easier to read that Kessie is solid CM while Ndidi is solid DM.

That's why I called Kante the boss. He didn't achieve all he achieved to be suddenly forgotten. He has a World cup too man. Ofcos this guy is up there in the talks of Elite players of this generation. But on who has been actually the best CDM in the League especially for the last three seasons, it is Ndidi.

Zaidu was rested over the weekend. He is definitely starting for Porto.

I know Chelsea fans here won't like it but I have already said that my wish is to see him in the Semis with Porto. Although, let's be honest, Chelsea are the favorites.
