I don't think I have a magical approach that's different to what some people here have shared for finding valuable expired domains. I think simpsonrocket shared series of posts last year showing how to use filters. Please find those posts or contact iykepromotions for tutorial.

As for tools, I don't currently have many. I do outbound tasks mostly manually. I have only used merge tools on and off, but I want to start using them more because I noticed that they can make my life easier.

I subscribed for Reoon once last year and GMass in February. I can't remember any other tools now, except online email address verification tools.

As per the question, Give it some time and check again. If not start all over and/ or Google it.
When we say those I.t guys are the thorns in dominers flesh. This is an example despite they know the truth and how to verify. They dont want their source of income tampered with.

I guess you just listed the domain on Dan. When you list a domain there, it takes a little time before it's certified.
For example, this is what it shows when you just listed vs after a while.
So it's advisable to wait till the padlock shows before outbounding. Maybe that's what the end-user saw.
