No fewer than 10 gunmen invaded one of the banks in Anambra on Thursday and hoisted Biafra flags after destroying vehicles in the premises.

The incident happened at Abagana, Njikoka local government area around 4pm.

It was gathered the gunmen shot sporadically but no one was killed.

The attack took place barely hours after Indigenous People of Biafra’s (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu raised the alarm over alleged DSS’ plan to attack banks in South East.

He alleged the ploy was to accuse IPOB of being responsible for it.

The shooting in front of the old generation bank scared passersby, customers and staff who took to their heels.

The gunmen, according to an eyewitness, drove in black Honda Pilot Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

The source further said they set fire on a Nissan Pathfinder SUV with registration number UR 640 KJA and smashed glasses of a Honda car with registration number FST 456 AC, all parked in front of the bank.

Confirming the incident, Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu said the Command was on the trail of the hoodlums.

According to him: “Those hoodlums were pursuing their target and when they could not get him, they started shooting sporadically in the air.

“They smashed some vehicles but we can not ascertain at the moment whether anyone was injured or the actual damage caused as a result

“The Command will not allow such hoodlums to run over Anambra State. Investigations are on to actually, unravel the cause of the incident.”

DSS are the unknown gunmen. They organized and started killing policemen from Igbo extraction making it looks as ESN is killing them. You should ask why is it only Igbo officers are targeted and killed upon majority of policemen are aboki. Yes, Ipob may be happy about that because every security agent in se is an enemy of Ipob whether you're Igbo or not.
Since they couldn't get Ipob through killing of their fellow officers they now resort in robbing bank and attribute it to Ipob. They should try harder because igbos are not stupid, people are becoming wiser by the day. So if a thief robs you he will choose to leave trace behind. Which thief does that? Mad people everywhere !! I pity the stupid igbos that allow themselves to be used to do dirty works.

Lol, if this is confirmed to be factual then it means those fighting against ESN has become desperate and are now totally clueless on what to do.

Quick question, why would ESN attack banks and destroy vehicles of individuals, only to hoist flags and run away?? What would they achieve by embarking on such stupid mission?

Is this how low these people can sink and can't even think up a smart way of countering ESN aside this stupid and thoughtless stunt that can't even decieve a child?

To even make it more embarrassing and disgraceful for them, Nnamdi Kanu has remained perennially one step ahead of them thus making it easy for him to preempt all their dumb moves.

For those that are hoping Nigeria would remain indivisible, you all really should be worried because obviously those at the top of affairs has exhausted their plans on how to stop the separatists and are now embarrassing themselves with this sort of ridiculous stunt. SMH.
