My question is it right to sell aso ebi for a wedding that has no reception because we had to cough out more than 20k for the lace/gele and bachelorette party material alone.

I am feeling this just a clever way to extort money from friends or am I wrong.

Weddings with no reception usually package food and souvenirs for guests and distribute them at the venue of the joining. If this is the case, there's nothing wrong with selling asoebi.

But then, it's not compulsory to buy asoebi now.

My own wedding didn't even have asoebi cause I didn't want the stress.

is not a matter of packaging food or souvenirs....if they want a low key wedding due to reasons best known to them no need of selling any Aso ebi....they are just been clever 1/2......it is compulsory to buy but it mandatory to buy when is a close friend.

The couple wants a colourful event (pictures), to a regular lady , what’s asoebi without a reception. A lot goes in been an asoebi lady( tailor , fitting , and makeup etc) why allow them go through all the stress for just pictures,
