But your explanation has also made us to know your earnings. This is to tell you that nobody says whatever they have intentionally, it has been said through conversation like you started above. Some people will find your comment informative while some will find it offensive for mentioning your wages.

Like minded people exchange information without reason to hold anything back while negative minds says don't tell anyone ooo or they say you're bluffing....

The more reason I deactivate my previous my moniker.

I said I earn peanuts in comparison to 80k dollars. Lol, the likelyhood that you will guess my earnings between 0 and 80k dollars is quite slim.

i don't want to talk much but 200k USD is a lot of money everwhere and any where to have as saving .majority of Americans cannot afford a 1000 usd emergency without credits..only 10000 usd for airport u go explain tire

People who do professional jobs can easily afford that with a good savings culture. In short, with a university degree u earn 45k usd minimum per year entry level. U can google it ur self.

I understand you totally, but you said what you said through a conversation, not that you just wake up to start a thread to show people what you have or earned.
I also understand that you're using yourself as an example of expression in your comment, just like we reference dangote and etc. People should understand that things like that can occur during a conversation. It is never a show off, only immature people do such thing....

Moreover, personal experience is the best teacher to others in some aspects!

O my God, I just checked, 1 ZWD is equivalent to 1 NGN. I got that stash when ZWDs where not worth the paper they were printed on, during the massive inflation period.

Moreover, 100m naira invested for over 7years must've yielded over 50% in returns by reinvesting interest fomula if I must say.

I don't want to argue toomuch.

Entry level engineering graduate salary = 70k usd
Maximum taxation = 37%
As a Naija man that has a vision I can spend only on food + rent + internet= 1k per month

After tax and expenses = 70k * (1 - 0.37) - (1000 *12) = 32k

Required years= 200k/32k =6 years.

Now, I made a lot of assumptions.
1. Tax is not computed directly like that, they split ur earning into portions and apply various percentages. Meaning it is always less than 37%

2. I assumed a constant salary over the 6 years.

3. I assumed that I dont invest my savings over the years.

So, in less than 6 years I should have my 200k usd.

If u earn less u are even taxed less money. With a spouse, it even takes less time to achieve.

Very achievable especially if you're disciplined to minimize or cut your monthly Bills.
Such as...
Food cost
Mortgage repayment or rent
Home Insurance and tax
Utility bills
Television licence
Phones topup
House alarm
Car insurance
Road tax
NCT
Kids school fees and clothing.
That's to mention few!!!

All these are daily and monthly bills that's making it difficult for some people who earn average income abroad to save to that tune. But if you're earning above average income especially if you're couple and your partner is also earning good salary then life will be easy and you'll be able to save and invest for raining days.

In New York, wages are higher. In fact, some people work in large cities and leave very far thanks to good transportation systems. Most Americans spend lots of money on frivolities, if u know what u want and maintain ur lane u can save a lot. I am talking from experience.

U don't need to agree with me though, good night.

If u are abroad 100 mill is not such a large sum. 100 mil is about 200k dollars. My current profession that I have been at for quite a while in Nija pays 80k usd a year for entry level in the USA. If I was in the USA I did save up 200k usd in less than 3 years. But, we can't all leave the country, should we?

In Nigeria I earn peanuts in comparison for the exact same job, it doesn't make the other guy in the diaspora smarter. We are just victims of circumstances.

Don't know your profession and I don't care. But people earn 80k USD in Nigeria though. They are usually remote workers working for companies abroad.

A real human doesn't respect people base on their worth. When I meet a person, I only see you as a human and respect you as such, I don't see your millions nor your ranks but a person.

Respect has nothing to do with who is right and who is wrong. It has to do with allowing space for someone else’s opinion.”
