There are some measurement which are global standard.
Nothing you can do about about it.

If you go far lesser or more higher than that you will not be comfortable with the result.

Example
-door height
-room height
-electrical switch height
-shower height
- water closet height
They are many like that

While there are standards, it's not entirely cast in stone. Instead of the normal 2.1m doors, we made these 2.5m x 0.9m doors on a project last year.

Still made some doors like that on an ongoing build.

I have listened to this arguements back and forth on the flat roof. I live in mafoluku oshodi, 90% of the houses here have flat roof of corrugated roofing sheets or asbestos. Most of this houses have been on for over 40 years plus. Most residents don't even have ACs. There is no single roof style that doesn't require maintenance.

Everyone to his or style but to say that flat roof is not meant for our climate is just fallacy.

n3xt:

I agree with your submission but I believe we can adapt this roofing style into our climate.

There’s rockwool and many other insulation materials out there to explore.

Will it be easy to make a flat roof maintenance free? No!

Is it possible? Yes!

If a countryblike Columbia can have flat roofs, I’m not sure it’s be a big deal in a country like ours.
Come to think of it, it has only rained 7 or 8 times this year.

A proper install will keep the waters away.

On noise, every roof make noise except concrete slab, polystyrene slab, terra-cotta tiles, and Nigerite roofing which one of my client explored in 2016.

I’m looking at pocket doors for the bathrooms/closets in one of my upcoming builds.

One of my pal is doing 2.4m windows and doors. A lot of guys are loosing the box already.

I get you right 100%

But according to my post I mentioned that “if you go too lower or more higher than world standard measurement you will find the results non comfortable”

What you did in this project is fine, I believed you must have a cogent reason for that.
But you will see that the lintel level of all doors in that house will not be same”

If I may ask does your” main building Entrance door, store door, toilets doors, are same with others doors. (In height) if so.
-to get the adopted door height in the mkt will be stressful.
- non alignment of all doors lintel
-future replacement will be too stressful
-special attention needed while performing this action.
-artistically view, it will looks somehow ( when all door lintel are not same.
-at time when you are installing pop, electrical wall bracket light, you might get issue with this height.

Generally you did a good job here bro.

It may or may not. I can see your view of what a PM is on your other comments.....
If it has to do with construction engineering a PM is foremost one who is experienced, knowlegable, technically or otherwise and versatile in the fields of architecture,civil/structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, building technology, land surveying, quantity surveying, land scaping, interior designing,etc,etc...........and not just only limited to that aspect of the view you hold.

That is why he is made the consultant on the project. Some people use the word prime consultant.

So be it your project is #1M or #1B.........you can get the services of a PM as consultant without putting holes in your pocket. It all depends on how you go about it.
.
Here you have placed a PM to be a subject matter expert. It may interest you to know you can have a doctor as a PM in a building construction project.

Actually, Rabiu Kehinde Adeniyu is hsl-broker. Rabiu Taiwo ABDULAFEEZ is his brother. I had the GTBank account details the client posted as well as his the first bank (his brother's account) account I sent money too. He gave me his brother's account details because he had some issues with his GTBank at the time I contacted him.

I wouldn't have made the post about him being the same person if I were not 100% sure.

Anyway, that's in the past. Patronize him, if you need his services.

like I said my twins brother is mountmoriah and I'm hslbroker

And wash off the screeding stains dropping from the walls later, or do you spread a covering sheet on the tiles?

First off, what is 3/8 sand? Or do you mean granite?

I can't see granite in the quote.

I can't see iron rod in the quote.

I can see blocks which means your land is dry and solid land. Not waterlogged. Is this correct?

It is a 'small' sceptic tank. You may not need that many materials as quoted. In terms of the number of bags of cement; are you going to plaster the inside of the septic tank? You need to confirm this with the builder as this will impact significantly on the number of cement.

Thanks for your input.

I really never had issues with the other materials but this one is the contentious one I highlighted.

Nevertheless, the builder reduced the estimate this afternoon.

I just sit there like a good little boy at block parties. Amongst Senator this, Governor that, retired General this, Oba of that, owner of this. There's a musician (confidentiality) that I look at awe that me I'm in the same place with this person that my Dad was listening to his music when I was a snort nosed kid growing up.

Nigeria is really good, our prayers should be to find our niche and receive Gods blessing.

Yea I understand you...

But once you incorporate it in the design phase, the problems reduce a bit.

These doors were fabricated. Incliding the entry door. That's stressful.

But j believe anything that can be fabricated easily can be replaced easily
