The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) community has been thrown into mourning mood following the death of two undergraduate from the faculty of Administration.

A 200 level student of Business administration Department, identified as Emmanuel, allegedly drank a poisonous substance called “sniper” to end his own life.

Inside OAU media gathered that the deceased was rushed to OAU health centre via an ambulance, but he was brought in dead; had given up the ghost.

It was also reported that another part 4 student of OAU, from the department of management and accounting, faculty of administration, whose name hasn’t been known yet, committed suicide earlier today and was rushed to the health centre. Unfortunately, his life was also lost in the process.

This has led to a protest on OAU campus this morning as students find it very strange and sudden.

The entire member of Inside OAU Innovation expresses our condolences to the family of the deceased, course mates and the students of OAU campus. May the Lord grant the ability to bear the loss.

The Emmanuel guy is a very funny dude who cracks jokes and very lively.Always happy,no one knew he was suffering depression.

He was still seen around 9pm yesterday looking for a pharmacy store.He drank sniper this morning.

Though the dying is painful, d act of drinking it is painless and that's why a lot of people are choosing it. And it hardly fails, it's hard to survive it.
Two students in a day is very high.

All d same, Suicide has never been an option. It only ends d problems and pains for u but transfers them to your loved ones ten folds.

Honestly, I'd rather chose to keep my mouth closed than open it and say r.i.p to these two young fellows..

We know say life hard for this country but that ain't a criteria for someone to take his/her life...For what?
Unless someone will have to tell me that there's something behind their death, probably someone poisoned them..
.. Because,no matter what,I don't see any reason why I'd have to end my own life simply because say life hard..

What was responsible for the suicide attempt ?

could it be a suicide pact or murders made to look like suicide? the authorities involved should carry out a detailed investigation
