Isaiah 50:4

The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

Look, me I am not interested in any twisting shenanigans with you grin.

Psalm 15:1-5
A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

The LORD loves the man in whose eyes a vile person is contemned cheesy wink. He receives praises from God and his disgust for the vile, evil, wicked, dirty, and hopeless, is his righteousness before his God. He will never be moved cool

It is good that you will not take reproach against your neighbour. Your work in ensuring you do not is commendable.

Can you tell me if all those things mentioned in Psalm 15 above - walketh, worketh righteousness, speaketh the truth, in his heart, backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour, honoureth them that fear the LORD, sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not, putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent, doeth these things - is not work that Christ taught should be done?

Come to the watchers thread
The only watchful I need do is that I mind being worthy when Christ comes, for it is written “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

This is your thread, and in it you have claimed God wants our righteousness. And for either of us to please God, the Kingdom of God must be in our midst. So let the Lord's will be done, here.

If any human being is *sincere and willing* to *believe the sound/unadulterated gospel of Jesus Christ*;
His/her old self/flesh/human-will which can produce *righteousness or unrighteousness is dead*
This our dead old-flesh/self/human-will is *replaced/exchanged* with a new life; Jesus Christ Crucified(God and Man inseparable) in the same *mortal-body* that used to contain or carry our old-self.
This new life of Jesus Christ which has human attributes and Godly attributes begins to live inside our mortal-bodies growing from baby-Christian to youth-Christian then to adult-Christian just like Jesus Christ when he was inside his own mortal-body from conception till ascension without sin while facing trials, temptations, pleasures and enjoyments of human living.
The only thing that Jesus Christ who is God and Man inside our mortal bodies can produce is *righteousness* because he did not produce any sin inside his heart or in his body while on earth hence it is not *our righteousness* but the righteousness of Jesus Christ (2 Cor.5:21) which we cannot boast about because it is an unmerited reality(work of God's grace) within us
hence anybody who is *genuinely saved/born-again/believer/Christian/Disciple of Jesus Christ will produce fruits of the Holy Spirit (Gal.5:22-23) consistently without sin till the second coming of Jesus Christ or biological death*
but anybody still in the flesh will be producing the fruits of the flesh{Gal.5:19-21}
There is no human being that is permitted to produce these two different fruits
thus
"What is born of the flesh will produce fleshly fruits while what is born of the Spirit will produce fruits of the Holy Spirit"
(John 3:6)
"No one is able to serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and he will love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and he will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and mammon." {Matthew 6:24}

MrPresident1:
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isaiah 64:7 And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

You hear people saying, our works of righteousness cannot save us, and we do not need to be righteous, we do not need works but grace covers us blah blah blah and many wrong things based on the mis-understanding of Isaiah 64:6.

God values righteousness, God loves righteousness, God cherishes righteousness, God loves righteous people, and our righteousness is not like filthy rags before him. Infact, our righteousness before him is a sweet smelling savour that he appreciates so much, and which never fails to bring the desired results from him when he is entreated in their light.

The verse in Isaiah is just talking about the general decadence in the land of Israel during the time of Isaiah. Israel were showing fake righteousness, they were the fig tree that was full of leaves (full of show) but had no fruits of righteousness (verse 7).

Henceforth, never ever agree with anyone who says your righteousness before God is like filthy rags. Your righteousness before God is a sweet smelling incense that he never fails to appreciate. Your righteousness is your kindness and empathy to your fellow human being, and to all of creation. Your righteousness is your good works.

Titus 2:7
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

Titus 2:14
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 3:8
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Titus 3:14
And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

Are you flipping kidding me Mr Presido?

MrPresident1:
noun: righteousness

1. the quality of being morally right or justifiable.

synonyms: goodness, virtue, virtuousness, uprightness, decency, integrity, worthiness, rectitude, probity, morality, ethicalness, high-mindedness, justice, honesty, honour, honourableness, innocence, blamelessness, guiltlessness, irreproachability, sinlessness, saintliness, purity, nobility, noble-mindedness, piety, piousness

How can any of these synonyms be filthy rags?

How could Justice, blamelessness, sinlessness, purity, nobility, piousness etc be filthy rags?

Please do not say "Our Righteousness"! "Righteousness" is Not Our Own, it Exclusively Belongs to God!

WE ONLY DO His Righteousness because He Commands it! We did not make righteousness neither did we command it.

It is the things which man thought was "righteous," which is even Commanded by man that is "man's own righteousness, which is "Unrighteousness", Wickedness and Filthy to See like Dirtty Rags eg "Slap me, I also you; A woman's place is in the kitchen: The Teacher is Always right and can never make a mistake!" etc

All Pure and Good Righteousness Belong to God and Come His Commands not from any man at all, but man "supposed" rightness, which comes from the man, is Actually Unrighteousness and therefore, Filthy!

You are not saved on the basis of your good works, you are saved because you, your soul TRULY hates and hated wickedness and evil AND YOUR WORK SHOWS AND PROVES THE TRUTH THAT YOU, IN TRUTH AND WORK, YOU TRULY HATED WRONGNESS AND EVIL!

The Measurement is not based on Work Alone, But Based on Both Your Soul and Work!

Yep!

Basic Law of A Right and True Judgement, "You can not be a Judge in your own Cause, ANOTHER, Shall and Must Judge Thee and Thy Works!"

Judgements Passed by Oneself, Over One's Own Matter, Are Never Acceptable. If not everyone can pass themselves to be Surgeons, Doctors, Mechanics, Lawyers, Judges etc.
