mariaekay: You can send an email to gtb's FX dept as you are eligible to use your naira card for 100 usd equivalent monthly. Or better yet find someone who has a dollar card |

Thanks. I know abt GTBANK's 100 usd max limit a month on naira debit car but I haven't made any FX transactions this month of April with my naira debit card. I don't know what's the issue and I don't have any dollars in my dollar account. I guess I will tell my uncle overseas to make the payment for me with his account. ICaSNg: |

Thermodynamics: I'll suggest you plan for 4 months. Covid has placed a lot of drag on processing times for GNIB / IRP cards , you may however be lucky to get a casual job within 2 months but its better to be safe than sorry. Having 2000 euros to 3000 euros as settlement funds is okay depending on where your campus is though 1 Like |

Submitted my visa application but could not certify at high court since courts are on strike, I had to only notarize all sponsor documents, including my sponsor data page..please I will want to ask, can the embassy verify sponsor data pages/visa pages? If so, the authenticity of his information if verified will be positive for my application. Can embassy verify sponsor data page/visa page even if he didn't do biometric? 1 Like |

ICaSNg: Here’s the story: My dad originally had a property which he had the original deed bearing his name and Surname (our family name). He gave me ownership of the property and told me to do with it whatever I please and I told him I was gonna sell to complete my funds for my studies and he consented. So, I sold some plots from the main deed and deeds were made in my name (same surname) from the original plots and buyers have paid into my account. Do I need to get a deed of gift? If I need to, how do I get this deed of gift? Please give me detailed guidelines. Thanks so much. |

Philadelphia: Just so you know I charge for this. If your dad is alive , he should write an authorisation letter or declaration stating he gave you the property / properties , attach his ID and your birth cert also include the new legal deed of assignment from you to the new buyer with lawyers seal. 2 Likes |

Mahonri59: Waterford is lovely. The student union bond is tight and the city is not too fast not too slow. Lectures are intense but with proper planning and God, you can excel! |

purplish: Unfortunately, renting is a big thing here. You can get a place but it's best to see what you like before paying. There are so many factors that go into it like heating, distance from school and from shops. Then with a baby, some people might not want to share apartments with you. Best thing is to get here before looking for a place. Another good thing this year was that studies was online. If school is back to normal by year end, accommodation will become scarce again |

purplish:Congratulations for the PhD studentship. Accommodation in Waterford isn't that crazy like Dublin. You can get a decent place as low as 250-300€/month. If you're not a lavish spender 250€/mth (at most) is enough for feeding. Student visa won't allow you to bring your mom or family member. It is not allowed. Don't really know much about crèche fees. But you get small home creche that doesn't really cost much. Judging by the stipend amount, you should still have some extra cash left monthly. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by ICaSNg(f): 4:17pm On Apr 25, 2021 |
Adanma03: Nigeria was added couple of weeks ago to the Compulsory Hotel quarantine list. That means you will be required to quarantine in a govt approved hotel for 10-14 days. To be exempt, you must have a negative covid test on arrival and must have gotten 2 shots of the approved Covid 19 vaccines : Oxford , pfizer and another one |

Yungstev007: Correction. You can come with your family if you are doing a PHD. Also, getting a place for less than 300 euros in Waterford will be extremely difficult and even the ones for that amount will have low BER ratings and she can't have a baby in there as it will be very cold. If she is coming alone she can wing it but with a child, it would limit the options she has 2 Likes |
