A little advise, please once you start the job, don't be afraid to ask questions about their code base. When I started mine, I used to be worried that I would look like a novice but I discovered my other colleagues who asked got answers quickly. So my initial approach of keeping quiet was wrong.

Yes you are correct, there are several tracking softwares for bug tracking, issue tracking like JIRA, Trello, Asana etc. What happens is that a bunch of tickets/tasks are created on Jira with an estimated time for a particular sprint, this is usually 2 to 3 weeks. There are rows and columns named In Progress, In Review, In Testing (Quality Assurance), Task Completed etc to track when you start your work and when It is completed. You also have to show your code depending on the Git platform(GitHub, Git-lab etc) that your company uses. Some of your colleagues will review it and approve if the code looks clean, functional and well written for the feature you are working on.
