Go and check Yoruba History Yoruba is a warring tribe the Civil War caused by disunity in Yoruba Land before the creation of Nigeria was very massive and bloody that some Yoruba sub tribes got wiped out.

If Yoruba were united before the British came to Nigeria we could have successfully drive away the British from Nigeria but unfortunately Yoruba were already tired of the endless battles in Yoruba Land that they just took whatever the British gave them to stopped it.
