How many of those people there are trustworthy? Only Balogun.

But if they show their inconsistency, you go blame Rohr.
Bro,Rohr is the coach and who do we blame if they are not performing.

Do they also perform in their clubs? Can't you see how our attackers, some midfielders like Ndidi and now Nwakali are making waves at their various clubside? What about our goalkeepers? Okoye and Uzohu are progressing so well with their clubs, but can same be said about our defenders, except Sanusi? So it's basically the faults of the defenders and not Rohr. Though I agree that Rohr is always wrong with his defensive selections because I see no reason why Ebuehi isn't a regular

I thought Leon Balogun,Ekong,Semi,Awaziem,Omeruo,Ebuehi,Aina,Jamilu Collins,Akpogunma and Sanusi are regular in their various clubs cos I don't understand what you meant by performance.

First of all, how good are they in their clubs?

It's only when you have proven players consistently performing poorly that you blame coach.
Did you blame Ancelotti for Iwobi's inconsistency?

Did you blame Unai Emery for Chukwueze's past run?

You get the point now cool

Nah, I think Balogun is a very good defender, it's only age that isn't on his side that's his major problem and Brighton slowed him down. You could see his impact when he joined Wigan, even though it was in a lesser league and he has done well for both the SE and Rangers

He is good for sure but not really that trustworthy

Abi e no Dey among them wey no fit defend against that poor Argentina team

Been regular doesn't mean they are good or average.
You can be a regular and superstar at Enyimba, it doesn't mean you are good

This Genk coach is playing with fire... He's playing just Onuachu as a lone striker up front today... And stats has shown that Onuachu performs better with partnership up front.... Abeg oo, Onuachu please score and win this cup already

This genk coach is so lucky others came to the party tonight.. How on earth will you tweak your winning formation of a front partnership on a cup final.... Onuachu up front alone is a no no... see as e deny our boy the chance to score today..

Anyway, congrats to genk and Onuachu

I'm saying that Rohr hasn't had a poor run of games firstly. He's not been a bad coach.

Secondly, don't blame the NT coach if a player is clearly inconsistent. There's little he can do concerning that.

He is very good at timing his runs and beating the offside trap.
It will surely be hell for defenders if you pair Osimhen with this guy in Attack and give them an AM that's good with passes

My point is simple a good coach can turn around average team for better results.I remember Greece team that won Euro 2004..Keshi won Afcon with very average team. Croatia reached WC final against all odds.

If Rohr cannot have meaningful impact in Afcon and WC with this team then is not good enough.

A bad coach? No but he signed a contract for better results irrespective of players at his disposal and I think with what we have now Rohr can still do something with the team and if he failed no issue

I disagree my man.

Do you think it is easy to be a regular in a club of 35 players.

Pls compare US 94 defenders with this present team.

Lille just came from behind to beat Lyon 3-2 in a thriller of a match. They’re back in first in what appears to be a tight top 3 race.

I got your point but with Leon Balogun,Ekong,Awaziem,Akpogunma,Semi, and Omeruo a good coach should be able to manage this team.
These defenders cannot be trusted at the world stage,
they cannot withstand world class attackers u would b facing from q/finals,
Only Omeruo at his peak would have been to but not anymore .
If this present defenders make it 2ru 2 WC semis,it would be by luck.
Plus we no longer have a goal keeper like Enyeama

Arabiandude:

That Senegal 2002 team weren't average, individually they were very good.
From Fadiga to Diouf to Camara, etc.

Rohr is conservative I know, but so we have the defence to withstand world class attackers if Rohr chose to go solely attacking?

Have you watched PSG this season in the UCL since Pochetino took over? He plays a kinda formation where every other players defend, leaving only Parades in CM and Neymar, Mbappe, Di Maria and Icardi or someone else pairing them upfront to do the scoring. That's why you hardly see other players scoring for PSG except their forward players and it has worked for PSG so far.
So I think it will also work on the World stage for the SE, leaving only our Forward players to do the scoring, leaving maybe Aribo as a CM, while others do the defending. Osimhen, Iheanacho, Chukwueze and Maybe Iwobi are capable goalscorers

Those players were known names only after the world cup.
