He's already in the youth national team set up in Clairefontaine. It'll be hard to convert him if he blossoms.

He only played in a unofficial tournament everyone gat eyes on him .....as a matter of fact rohr has visited him severally in rennes...and the conversation between the duo went well cheesy

Lol, I told you he (or she) is always right on that "Osimhen starts or not" call. grin

Watch out for Legendarytotow's post again today as Napoli takes on Torino.

I have long come to appreciate the fact that almost everyone here has a contribution they make to this thread no matter how small some may think it is. If one of such is giving correct info hours ahead about who and who is starting even before the official XI release, then so be it. It is appreciated so long as it is on point.

Osimhen will start against Torino grin

I love that dude alot....he bagged an early move to rennes guess he was just 16 then though he is not a finish product but he will definitely learn alot from Ndidi going forward...also we have a new goalkeeper on our watch he plays for Charlton athletic very talented lad.
Third tier?

You mean Nathan Harvey of Charlton U23? Na real small boy and he still has a long way to, but we will do well to give him a chance with the golden eaglets or flying eagles because he is quality.

For now, the super eagles do not have goalkeeping issues though I have my eyes on Arthur Okonkwo of Arsenal and Adeyemi of Tottenham for the future

You wouldn't say this if you had seen him play. That is his level for now considering his age. If he maintains his form and keeps growing, he would be in the EPL in his early 20s, or at worst in a top championship team

Pray tell me sir, how many Brazilian defenders of note you remember? They have won the world cup how many times? Brazil focuses on attack and midfield..defenders mostly home based..but they pulled it off. We can do the same. Never write us off. Our players playing week in week out is enuf.

Cafu, Carlos, Lucio all world class defenders. Yes, we can still achieve a quarter final place with our present squad contigent on our performance and good Luck favoring us. But, never underestimate the importance of a Solid Defense.

Why just the quarter finals? Why not the trophy itself..we lack a lot of belief on here. Anything is possible on football if our team gets into tornament mode...m

I am proud and impressed with our forward line present performances. But, let's not forget that SE has always produced Decent/Good strikers. Infact, in the dark "super chickens" Era, we had the likes of Martins, yakubu, osaze, Kalu uche, Ike uche, Obasi, obinna, Anichebe, utaka, Ideye all scoring and impressing at their clubside. Did they win any trophy for SE? No. Were they impressive at 2010 world cup, No. Infact, 2010 was SE worst ever world cup performance wise despite having these sharp shooters aforementioned. Anyway, my point is that let's not overestimate our present inform Strikers and we must place serious emphasis on Finding top notch Midfilders to compliment Ndid, etebo, Aribo and also good Defenders to compliment Zaidu, Ebuehi, Aina. Right now, there should be a solid search on Finding a Talented "Attacking Midfielder", Center backs and also adequate replacement in those positions to even mandate or anticipate an ANC win or a WC quarter-finals position.

The likes of Nwakali, Ejaria, and should must be invited in our next game while the search for Adequate CB must continue. Personally, I haven't been impressed by Ekong and Balogun combination and although they're the best available option now, we have to keep searching.

SE Strengths - Strikers
Wingers
Defensive Midfield (because of ndidi and etebo)

SE weakness - Attacking Midfield
Center backs.

Come to think of it, why Is it difficult for super eagles to produce "Attacking Midfielders"? despite the fact that okocha is many Nigerians ? Our upcoming youth/adolescent needs to Be coached on being a solid Attacking Midfieldera

Since there are plethora of inform Strikers and wingers available and to be able to maximize our strengths and potential, what do you guys think of a 352 or 3412 formation? Should we convert our wingers to RWB and LWB because due to many inform Strikers, we have to select a 2 striker system and a 442 flat formation is extremely Risky. What do you guys think?

It's not matter of belief, almost every country always believe that they r good enough 4 the trophy, but usually the team with the best quality wins.
We have the squad to dominate Africa for the next 5 years, but not the world stage.

At the world stage is a different ball game,
U will need
2 very good full backs ,
At least one top defender ,
A very good goal keeper.
A top DM/CDM,
A world class or near world class AM,
A top attacker
In general,u need at least 3 world class or near world class players to truly compete for the WC trophy.
U r still going to need luck, faith,a good coach and discipline ..
Apart from all these, every other thing would b by luck

Coupled with the fact that African teams get unfavorable draws due to the Ranking system, Biased Officiating and by Default "Fewer teams" (5). Even the Quarter finals Issa blessings (if we get there)
