I Wouldn't feel bad if he hangs pictures of his mum on the wall. I would gladly bring out pictures of my own mum and dad and also hang on the walls. With that, our kids can easily identity their grandparents. kiss
Very simple, I don't know why people bring up unnecessary matter. I think the husband, wife and children picture frame is ok, every other photo can be on a album given to visitors whenever they come visiting.
Placing your mum and dad picture on the wall doesn't mean you love them so much, so one can actually place your picture in his sitting room claiming he cherished you whereas for another realm Dem dey use your picture for incarnation lol.............

Hahaha. You made me choke!

I honestly and sincerely love the response of ladies above, I like that no one indulge the guys here and Op for trying to start unnecessary banter between females, even the one trying desperately hard to portray his comment as 100% fact when it is just just a figment of his imagination and limited thought process, every single thing that happens in a family shouldn't result to issues or disagreements,

If the husband likes he should hang a picture of his mum breastfeeding him in front of their home so that visitors and passersby can see it, that's his cup of shayi

Once again ladies, love y'all kiss

Ladies done dey sabi the koko. We jump and pass all the divide and conquer techniques. They must be bored with not being indulged and getting the expected reactions.

I wonder why he is asking ladies what they would do, when he can easily ask men what they would do if their wives hang their FILs picture. I guess we all know the gender that hates having peace in their nuclear families. Always instigating petty competition and rivalry. grin

It's just like asking if I will welcome my mother's framed photo in my home
Your mother in law is also your mother. Do unto her what you will do to your mother as well

There is this common feud between some mother-in-laws and wives that is still a mystery which gave rise to this question. grin

Ladies, if your mother-in-law is still alive, how would you feel if your husband hangs pictures of her on the wall? I can understand if she is dead but alive, would you welcome it ?

Cc: lalasticlala

Because she's the lady of his house or what?

Any lady I intend to spend the rest of my life with should have it at the back of her mind that my mother is my second God and I will splash her portrait anywhere in the house.

Though my mom is not the type that would encourage me to take the love I have for her to the extreme.

Lemme hear from the ladies here sha. cheesy

Why not marry ur second god? undecided

Why would the MIL's picture be framed on the wall?

I thought picture frames showcased the husband wife(s) and children? undecided

why will you have headache or heart attack on ordinary frame that husband hangs on wall?

In marriage, if you dnt learn how to reach compromise you will find it difficult to married.

I guess Jesus pic wont be welcome in ur sitting room as well

This is for the Mama's boys who refuse to leave and cleave. His Mummy dictates everything even to what his wife just wear.

What a troublesome question... grin

If you are in the mood and just want to start a quarrel with your wife for the fun of it, then go ahead and broach this subject to her.

You will get either of these two reactions:
1. She will become upset, and she will express it immediately.
2. She will become upset, but she will pretend she is fine with it... until a latter date. Lol

ALL women will fall into one of the two categories above, NONE is exempt... but be more careful around those women who fall into the second category. cheesy

Upset because of mere picture? You guys take some of this things too serious. My grandma's picture is still hanging in our sitting room despite she's late and I never met her and my mum never talked about it for a day. I wonder where you guys meet the kind of women that make you draw such conclusions.

So my Mom's framed picture is not allowed in my house but Virgin Mary's framed picture is allowed?

His Mum's picture on the wall makes him a mama's boy?

I dont see myself marrying a woman that will not take my mother as her first mother while her biological mother comes second.

Anything other than this won't be easy I tell you.

I don’t count this as something that matters at all.
Family pictures are welcome.

I only have issues with disrespect.

Little things like these are inconsequential. People focus on the wrong things all the time. Women who have problems with little things like this often miss when bigger issues that can actually affect them and their future come up. Because they are focused on pictures, who seats in the front seat, who dished food from their pot, petty things etc, they miss important things.
As in eeh, this thing just tire me.

As in, I hang a picture of my mother and it's a problem? So petty.

Meanwhile these same people will kneel before the portrait of Joseph's wife in the name of honoring Mary.

I can't deal with a person that finds fault in irrelevant things like this. Can't even keep one as a friend.
