Nigeria needs to stop being blackmailed by Civil War threats. Leadership need to go in hard on miscreants and if Civil war results then so be it, at least civil war will provide opportunity to clean up the mess. We need to get up off our knees and stop pandering to these militant interest groups. If we must go out lets go out with such mayhem that it will be our last gift to Africa that of lessons why Wars are stupid, unproductive and on which they must turn their backs and discard as anachronistic and primitive.

u think say wetin dey happen for naija na laughing matter abi?

If you could remember, when boko haram activities started in the north.......most of we southerners were saying it is none our business.....forget that we are all in the same country.....now it has grown beyond control.......boko haram started in borno, now they have moved to Niger state....gradually they move to kogi, kwara ,benue, plateau and abuja. And u are there laughing.....

See what is happening in the southeast....the killing of police and soldiers, some of you guys are happy......but it is another disaster loading.......investors will start to relocate , business activities will crumble......

Even we in the southwest are not safe......there are lots of terrorists foot soldiers from the north in our mists....especially lagos and ogun state........

Go and read about rwanda, liberia, south sudan, democratic republic of congo, somalia.......do you think if this country start to burn you will be safe......most of you guys will flee to rep of benin, cameroon, chad, niger, ghana, togo....and you think those countries aforementioned will accommodate y'all?

What bunker?

The battle line will be drawn somewhere in Eastern Nigeria. So its constant that the clamor's of war can never get to where I reside. Like I said, From TV I will be recording deaths and casualties.

National Assembly should as matter of urgency commence work on RESTRUCTURING Nigeria through amendment of the vital parts of the constitution. The failure to respond before now led the nation into this raging regional self-determination chaos.

Any further delay in acting will most likely lead to any of the following:
1. Military interrupting the democracy to take over government in order to restore order, of course, with far reaching consequences. They are losing too many men.
2. Negligently allowing the regions to slip into the hands of hot-headed separatists who, so far, have not shown clear governance and developmental plan.

However, acting on restructuring NOW will empower the current of political class and intelligentsia in different geopolitical regions to assume control with little destructive disruption with the armed forces restoring order. I suggest the following actions immediately:

-- NASS leadership should immediately wake members up from ongoing slumber to do their duties.
-- Set up a joint NASS Restucturing Committee
-- Meet and convince Nigerian Governors' Forum to set up regional committees covering broad interests to negotiate transfer of critical things on exclusive list to concurrent list and other federations issues.
-- Amend the constitution to reflect the new political realities of Nigeria.
-- We have Switzerland, Canada, US, etc federation models to look at in order to adopt what is best for us given our peculiarities.

Northern Nigerian legislators and politicians should note that any attempt to frustrate immediate restructuring of the Nigeria at this critical point will bring nothing but doom.

Can't Osinbajo resign to show solidarity to the populace? is he so neck deep into this shit?
If he resigns, he will be replaced by devoted islamist who will be loyal to course. The more devoted a muslim is the more likely his to be a fanatic/terrorist.

We still need him there just in case an opportunity presents its self.

There won't be any civil war,but lawlessness and breakdown of law and order has been enshrined by this government.
Guerilla, bandits and unknown gunmen attacks are not features of a civil war because the way things are going each region may amicably accede to the request of others if they decide to secede as an end to the breakdown of law and order.
Unlike 1966,I don't forsee any region being in support of fighting any civil war to keep Nigeria one.

This is an elder.
