I know it’s been said that an existing EE profile does not affect a study permit but i want to be cautious. I recently maxed out my ielts and i want to update my EE profile. Should i do this now or wait till i receive PPR for my study permit application.

Good day House.

In the Family information Form - IMM5645, what address should I use for a family member who is currently in Canada on a visiting visa. Should I use the address in Canada or the permanent address in Nigeria as the form asks for “Present Address”.

Please anyone. This is quite urgent

She is not residing in Canada, she is on visit. So use the Nigerian permanent address.

Best of luck

Nigerian address as it's the individual's permanent address. It also helps to strengthen your home ties to an extent.

Dear Guru Frankrobbn1,

i will be requiring your expertise soonest as i commence this journey.

My situation is similar to ajikaz2003, but my previous visa refusal has been on Visitor Visa.

Initial reason for refusal was
1. Leaving Canada based on Family Ties in Canada & Nigeria
2. Leaving based on purpose of visit
3. Personal Assets & Financial Status.

Upon the second application it was refused based on Purpose of Visit only.

I know my SOP/LOE for the Student Visa needs to be very detailed and am willing to commence work on it asap to ensure i leave no stone unturned.
From the last visa refusal in Feb 2019, family ties has become stronger as i didn't have my kids then.

Will greatly appreciate all support from yourself and other gurus in the house for a successful application.

Course - MBA St John - Fall 2021 (hoping i can pull this through)
POF - Sufficient and excess funds for Tution and Living Expenses
Family Ties - Kids, Husband and Parents. Landed properties in my name
Employment - Stable Employment with 1 yrs experience. Reason for study is Career Progression.

N.B - Would love to have my twins go with me as they are relatively young (less than 3 yrs), but considering the complexity i might apply for them after my application has been approved.

I have a sister who lives in Canada, while the other one has a Canadian PR but resides in the USA.

Thank you for your suggestions, advise and support as a i am positive of a successful application.

Did u ever get a tracking number from VFS? you can chat with their customer care help desk via their website. They will answer u almost immediately.

Please guys, I need help o.

My PPR package has been refused twice by the VAC, without any reason at all. I enclosed my passport along with all the required documents, and proof of payment of the Transmission Fee, and addressed it to the Abuja VAC office. I paid for a return-courier via UPS. Funny thing is the package easn't even opened before it was refused, so I cannot know what the exact problem is. Even reaching the VAC by phone is almost impossible because the call goes off once you select the option of speaking with an agent. The email I sent when the package was refused initially has still not been replied. This is quite a strange case.

Apart from trying a different courier service, is there anything I can do differently??

Don’t worry about the stress, the important thing is to do it right
For the proof of funds, provide as much of those requirements as you can lay your hands on, from your sponsor obviously

The only form you need to print after filling is that of family representative so that other members traveling with you can sign. Scan and attach after signing

Check if you’re using the correct form of Adobe suggested

Thank you.

Hi

How much is your fees In CAD? Add $10,000CAD and add like $2,000CAD for other expenses. If within 5m. Then you’re good. I think. Let th experts come in too.

Got good grades

Which university please, i have hnd too i hope to get a bsc here and whats the duration?

Hello Olamiikunle,

When it comes to immigration in general through the study route, it is always best to avoid unnecessary academic switch even if it is a genuine intent.

It is better to maintain a background related to either one's previous study and/or experience when applying for the permit. Thereafter, from within Canada, a switch can easily be effected.

This makes your intent, reason, and explanation very clear. Don't get it wrong, this doesn't mean that people are not been approved if a switch is effected at the time of the application processing, but not entirely encouraged.

If you are going for a Computer Technology program, go for a subfield that relates to architectural design in PGD. This helps you easily merge your study intent to the benefit of the study in a lineal progressional path.

Best of Luck

Thanks for this clarification, my case is a bit different though i have HND in mechanical engineering, but i have been working as a software engineer since 2019 after graduation i also plan to switch to computer science, does the work experience give me a better chance, and its pgd i have to do right?
