He was one good young man who helped me alot back then in poly...

So the last this I heard about Godspower was that he died immediate after breaking a 2-weeks fast

God no send anyone to fast in that way either. Isaiah 58 is God's prescription as far as what He wants from us in regards to fasting. Why people chose to deprive their bodies of food thinking they please God by it is beyond me. undecided

Many of us don’t understand the purpose of fasting. Most people think fasting is to move God to help you. The truth is no amount of fasting can move God to help you.

The fast can only move you to receive from God cos when we fast, we believe that God sees us and will pity us and therefore answer us. Your

fasting can only boost your faith in God and if you have that same faith without fasting, God will help you.

God only answer those who believe, trust and have faith in him(without faith we cannot please God heb 11:6) Not those who believe they deserve it by their works of fasting... it is not what you do that makes God bless you but your faith in the finished works of Christ.

Miracle is meant for the believing, not for the deserving...
Isaiah 58, God Himself said He is not moved by your choosing to starve yourselves in your fasting. He instead prescribes that you go do good works if His heart is what you want to move. There in isaiah 58, He tells you exactly the kind of good works to do instead of starving yourself(fasting). undecided

The one that happened to me was when my wife reported me to one prophetess who owns C&S church in ekiti that i use to drink and smoke, when i met the woman she told me to bring 35k, and also that i should buy all the drinks i take just to pray against it, i had to negotiate to 20k,that was the last time i entered the church.

She fasted so that God can bring her husband, right? Is 14 days dry fasting now a requirement for God to bring back someone and establish her home again?

I lost my uncle when I was young due to fasting.
I was too young to get the details then so I don’t know how long he fasted.
What I remember is that he did dry fasting for some days and he became sick instantly. Coupled with our poor medical facilities, he died.
My mom died after I was born.
My uncle that died during some days of fasting followed.
My Aunt too died some years later.
My uncle, a chosen pastor too died last year.
I guess they all didn’t live up to fifty years.

What if we are doing our own christianity the wrong way?
