The issue of rape and sexual abuse is the talk of town especially the recent one from baba ijesha.

we have had celebrities like iyabo ojo speaking out against rape and protesting for the conviction of baba ijesha, Tonto dikeh also said rapist should be castrated, great.. But does that connote they are overlooking the fact that females rape too? 80 out of every men has experiend sexual assault or rape at one point or the other in their life.. Most from aunties, househelps and Co, but who will listen if such boy child speaks out? The most common thing they say is "tell me you didn't enjoy it"..

It will shock you if some men start sharing their abuse ordeal, then you will know where and what the real problem is.

Most rapist today are the monsters our aunties, sisters and house help, uncles, fathers made.. Have they thought of giving rape issue another approach? Have they thought if a boy child is given more attention that a girl child has, will there be rapist? Most Gays too are a result of abuse from men.. Read the story of Donnie mackluklin, you will understand better..

In as much as I support the campaign against rape, I feel there is a misandrist undertone, and I feel mothers should pay equal attention to their male child and ladies should stop molestation of young boys... What goes around comes around

So the question, what do you think is the lasting solution to rape in Nigeria? And is there any misandrist undertone in the campaign against RAPE?

I once watched an activist (although late now) argue on National Television that a man can not be raped an that rape is only for the ladies...

This mentality needs to stop, child abuse should not be tolerated by any gender

This is why male child are afraid to speak out. Who will believe them?

Well, yes. The same attention. Boys should be held responsible for thier actions, criticized when they sleep around, called out when they cheat, etc. This idea of not seeing anything wrong with whatever a man does with whomever while strictly policing women is causing a serious social imbalance. Even kids now believe they can get away with anything cause "boys will always be boys". We make it seem as if having se.x is a boy's birthright and therefore, they should be happy and proud when they get it from whoever. This makes it difficult for them to complain when it comes from molesters.
