By the powerful name of the Most High God, may your week be blessed.

For those awaiting PPR, may this new week bring forth good tidings.

May there be showers of PPR this week.

May you grow from strength to strength.

May you be in good health.

And may your family know serenity and joy.

It shall be well with you and your loved ones.

Pls is a police clearance certificate very necessary in the visa application?

It is not mandatory.

However, the visa officer may request it.

Most applicants are not asked to present police clearance certificates. When the VO suspects something through verification, he or she may then request it.

No more Banning of international students in Ontario

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h-9VbDCsNw

I honestly think they should temporarily suspend inflow of international students if the corona-virus threat level is increasing rapidly and measures are still being put in place.

May our selfishness to travel to Canada not get the better of us.

I'd rather stay in Nigeria for all my life than be the reason for thousands of death in another country.

NO, it’s not absolutely necessary. Many people have gotten their study permit approvals without it. But it’s your choice to include it if you wish.

But you won’t be refused because you didn’t include it. Anyone who tells you it’s necessary is misinformed.

The Canadian govt, working with the Ontario govt. is considering imposing a temporary restriction on arrival of international students in Ontario. If you’re an international student heading to a school in Ontario, you may need to hurry your arrival date before this plan crystalize.

It’s been reversed already. Checkout the latest news on the matter to be more informed.

Please house just want to be sure about what am hearing...is covid 19 test free? If no how much? And how long will it take for the results to be out and is it once am traveling I will do the test of before? Please someone should break it down edakun

Covid-19 test is not free in Nigeria (yet). It’s still and has always been N50,400 across all designated testing centers.

But you can carry out further research (google) to find out more. Or await other responses in case something has changed from what I answered.

Thanks JustMellow for your response

For more clarity
My sponsor(immediate elder brother) earns 1.1m monthly and has been working in his current job for 8months now with a new bank account but he hardly has tangible balance in his account but currently has 1.6m balance
He has over 8 years progressive work experience

As a family
We’ve been able to raise 10million and plan on sending it to his personal account as sales of property and generate a purchase receipt that would be notarized

Sponsor also has 1.2m in investment account and 6m in pension account
And 5 landed property at purchase price of 7million

Sponsor would pay my first semester fees approx 3m (compulsory to secure a seat) from personal account and also send 5million to my personal account for living expenses for a year

Sponsor isn’t married hence doesn’t have any dependent

I have a landed property and a registered business name as my tie back home

My parents aren’t financially capable, my mom is a pensioner and doesn’t earn much

Please do you think this steps I plan taking is advisable?

JustMellow lease I’ll appreciate your advise
Thank you

Good morning to you all

About Medical Expiration, I want to get something clear.
Is it that one's medical mustn't expire before arrival in Canada?

Case Study
For Someone who did his/her medical on August 18, 2020, is such person still good to go to enter Canada like August 10, 2021

@Frankrobbn1 @JustMellow @Anon123 @Spectro

Thanks

Visa application fee
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Anon123: 10:26am On May 03, 2021
princejunaid:

Visa application fee

$235cad is 95k black market rate, might be less, might be more depending on the seller
As you can't pay with your ATM card. You might need to pay with someone with either a foreign ATM card or someone in canada.
