Hello House,
Is there a problem if my US contact upon arrival on my DS-160 is different from my School official to contact upon arrival on my I-20?
The one I filled on my DS-160 is a school official to contact, she sent me my I-20 E-copy, but the name on my hard copy I -20 when I received it is different. They're both Internationa Student Official.

Please advise.

My Interview is an emergency approval appointment tomorrow. May 4

Since they're both international student official, leave it that way. You have nothing to worry about.

Oh! The green slip means that there were discrepancies in your application. They needed some time to verify it. Even the VO saw there was outstanding fee but you oblige it was full tuition waiver.

Have you gone through the i20 documents to see if there are deficits?

You would have sticked with your company in the 2nd interview. Why did you change to uncle?

You wouldn't have replied the VO when he said no need for bringing the letter to prove you have full tuition waiver.

All these made the second one to or reject you immediately.

There is problem with your i20

If I were you, I would have told my school to effect the correction if it is truly fully funding without deficit.

If I were you also, I would have changed school.

But all the same, it is good not to change everything when applying for a second Visa. It should be static.

Now what has changed in your i20. Because this time around, you need to be prepared.

The first consular never got all the information needed in your i20 likewise the second one. And this time around becareful on the filling of the DS160 to also avoid discrepancies.

You have problem on your i20.

Yea I have deficit of about 17 thousand dollars but I got a full tuition waiver the only thing I notice was that there was a difference between the estimated fee and tuition waiver by some 200 dollars of which I wrote to the school and they told me the estimated fee was just an estimated because the tuition fee could increase or decrease

My problem is the 2nd interview I want not given any opportunity to explain and this one they are saying home ties now I was thinking maybe I use a sponsor that had the same surname with me to help prove home ties

But any advise you give me will be appreciated abeg...............

The name of my course is Computer systems networking and telecommunications.

And here's how I intend on answering the question:

I've always wanted to know the relationship between computer system networks and how they function. So I decided to turn my ideas and interests into a career. And I made my personal research where I studied about computer systems networking. I want to study this course in order to acquire more knowledge, develop my skills and get a job with my degree once I return back to Nigeria.

Please lemme me know if my answer is okay enough, Thanks.

Okay.

1.Make sure your i20 is accurate. Beg the school to remove that $200 deficit to make it a full tuition waiver without deficit because you stood on your ground when the VO asked that there was deficit. Make them understand. Because I suspect the i20 to be a problem that's why you were not given time to talk.

When the VO asked you about where do you work in the first interview, you said your company do sponsor staff every 5 years, you did not elobrate more to show home ties. You did not say If the company is sending you to go for study and come back to improve the company, etc. The second interview you said your Uncle is sponsoring you, you left out from company now and said your Uncle. Can't you see the discrepancies. And this VO use psychology.

2. If you are using Uncle now for this recent one, use same person you used before in the second interview in order not to cause more harm than good. When asked who is sponsoring you, tell them that is your Uncle. And you need to add something to this statement removing your company from the picture.

What did you study and what's your job role and what are you going to study, please tell me.

3.You were asked where do you work in your 2nd interview. Please in case you are asked again in the next and final one you are going, elaborate more on your job description.

Lastly pray for grace. There's nothing God can't do.

Please you are contradicting issue, you had a $200 deficit to pay and you didn't take note of it before you went for your first interview. And if you had a deficit of $200 there was no need to put your company or Uncle as sponsor.

Is it full funding or full tuition waiver? What about the health charges, accommodation, etc, were they waived?

Please I need to know. If you can send me your i20 I will be glad to sort it once and for all.

Q. How many schools did you apply to?
A. I applied to 3 schools with 2 of them as my top target and I have been accepted into 2 of them

Q. What do the schools I applied to have in common?
A. They all offer a specialization in Business Intelligence systems

Q. What school are you going to?
A. I am going to the university of colorado Denver

Q. Where is the school located?
A. The school is located on Larimer Street, Denver, Colorado

Q. Where are you going to be lodging?
A. I will be staying on the school campus

Q. Why University of Colorado Denver/ Why the USA?
A. Apart from the fact that they offer a specialization in Business Intelligence systems, I picked this school because I will be given the opportunity to learn from business leaders in the tech industry as they have partnered with the school to educate students through various events. I would also have the opportunity to learn from various students from different backgrounds.

Q. Why can't you do this program in your home country?
A. From my research, doing this course at the University of Colorado Denver will give me the opportunity to learn from business leaders in the tech industry as they have partnered with the school to educate students through various events. I would also have the opportunity to learn from various students from different backgrounds.

A. I am single

Q. Do you have any plans on coming back?
A. Yes, when I return I plan to work with some multinational firms like Deloitte or KPMG as a Business analyst, and in the mid to long run I plan to use the knowledge I have acquired to build my startups

Q. Why should you be granted a visa?
A. I believe a visa will enable me to accomplish my long-term goal of building successful companies in Nigeria and will also help me get more Important or managerial roles and open more opportunities to me in Nigeria.

Q. Have you traveled before?
A. Yes, I have been to about 7 countries

Please only answer what was asked without giving unnecessary information.
How many schools did you apply to? 3 schools (that's all).
What is your purpose of traveling should include the school you're going to. I wonder why you left it out and expect them to ask in a separate question, it's not ideal.

How come a civil servant is sponsoring you? Looks like a red flag, unless it's her logistics business which your explanation gave no insight into the specifics of the business and staff strength; include this.

Why University of Colorado Denver is a totally different question from Why USA. Understand this and know how to answer both just in case. Also, Why USA already answers why not in Nigeria; understand this as well.

Please, I need a honest reply to this!

I was rescheduled for an emergency visa appointment at the US embassy for August 3rd. But my school insisted that any visa interview later than August 2nd will not be reckoned with. Now, all efforts to mail and call the embassy have proved abortive. What can I do to have a a closer appointment date to at least ending or middle of July
