Mbaka Bows, Shuts Adoration Ministry For One Month by Nobody: 8:45am On May 11, 2021
Enugu Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has announced a shutdown of the Adoration Ministry for a period of one month.

DAILY POST gathered that this may not be unconnected to the earlier directive given to him by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Bishop Calistus Onaga.

The ministry sent out a notice early Tuesday morning informing members that Fr. Mbaka was proceeding on a one-month private prayer retreat.

It was, however, silent on whether it was in obedience to the Bishop’s order.

A message to that effect obtained by DAILY POST read: “Our Spiritual Director, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka wishes to inform his beloved adorers that he has embarked on a private prayer retreat that will end on 10th June 2021.

“Consequently, no ministry activities shall be held in the ministry ground pending his return.

“He directs that members of the ministry are to observe this period of his retreat as they used to do during the usual January breaks of the ministry, by praying at their homes, being charitable and fasting according to their ability. Adoration! Holy Spirit is our Power.”

Nothing will happen to Fr Mbaka's Adoration ministry. He will return stronger and full of the anointing. Those hoping for his downfall will still go to him for prayer when e don red.

Pride, disobedience and disorder are never of the kingdom of light. Unfortunately, these were beginning to creep into Fr. Ejike Mbaka's utterances and conduct. His Bishop knew he needed a retreat ASAP to avoid going completely astray. He needed to stay away from his
- obsequious acolytes who make him feel larger than life
- tedious preparation for weekly programs
- composition and recording of new songs
- the management of his various small-scale social enterprises,
- other distractions
in order to QUIETLY meditate on God, the teachings of Jesus Christ and the basics of priesthood. I will not be surprised if he is flown to Rome away from Enugu. He needs this retreat badly to refocus and refresh.

The truth is that the Church has over the centuries defrocked recalcitrant priests who thought they have large followers. Once this is done, they came face to face with the reality.

The tail doesn't wag the dog.

He didn't know how dangerous politicians could get!

His case is now more of the more you speak, the more troubles you get..

He may have just realized that the best one can do in such a messy situation is to keep shut!

But what he didn't remember was that silence is deafening when politicians are involved, they will drag you out...
