I didn't have anywhere to stay when i gained admission so i had to scot with an acquittance of my sister till i got my place. When i got there, turns out this acquittance also had a roommate. They were both older than me. I was not all the way confortable but we got along quite well. I stayed with them for about two month. I'm an introvert, so i no dey pass my boundary. They shared the chores, so i do my own part but they insisted on been the one to go to market and do the cooking. We calculate what is needed and i contribute my share. Nobody is a glutton. We were cool till the day i left.

I met my second roommate in the bus while going back to school. I heard her and her aunt discussing about it in the bus. It turned out that she was given late admission,so she was just resuming a month to exam. They were talking about her staying in a hotel till she got an apartment. I shook mouth for their matter inside the bus and ask her to stay with me till then. Turns out she was a very wonderful lady. We were namesakes, and thankfully compartible. We did not agree on anything like foodstuffs, chores or the like. But we just seem to read each other's mind about what is needed to be done or bought and we do or buy it. She later left when she gained admission to unilorin, she preferred it to my school (UNAD) cos it has the muslim vibe. She is a muslim, i am a christian.

My third roomie was cool. A little bit older than i but we got along well. She doesn't like cooking so i did most of the cooking. The vibe i had with her was like that of my second roomie. We do practically everything together.

My fourth roomie came to do admission processing in my school while i was in year 2. She wanted to stay with me till her admission clicked but i codedly sent her packing after a week. She was my street friend. They didn't have much, so most times she eats in my place. She wanted to go to Ekpoma cos she is from delta but was having issues with admission then cos her parents were not financially strong to pay for runs. So i told her i could help with my connect in my school if she likes and she could stay in my place rent free for 1 year. Long story short she came for post utme, and she was eating anyhow like we were at home. Then she will insult me stylishly. The insults did not move me cos i was used to it but the foodstuffs...nah. the food that will take me 1 week to consume, she consumes within 2days[size=8pt][/size]. She like her tea very thick, she can eat five times a day even for midnight, and she expects me to do the cooking. I will go to school and come back, she no go cook but she would have ate all the junks she can find in the house or go out to buy. She will spend her money buying viju and maltina, but will still wait for me to come back and buy pure water. One faithful day, i went to one of my hostel mate room to watch movie. We went together but she left arond that 11pm. When i got back, around 1am, the babe don lock door. I knocked, and babe was grumbling that why did i come back, sey i for stay where i dey come from. I laughed. She opened the door and i realize she was cooking rice and beans. I didn't say anything, i just slept. In the morning, i wanted to eat and i was like let me just warm the remaining rice and beans she cooked. I realized the babe just cooked her own rice and beans. She was not even considerate of the money i had to spend on kerosene then. She woke up and was asking me what we would eat. I just lock up. After her post utme, i just ask her to leave that i need to start preparing for my exams. She didn't later got admitted cos she has two sittings and my school only accept one. But we are still good till date.

My fifth roomates was in my final year. I had ro stay with two of my coursemate then cos of my research work. They live closer to school. We didn't have issues with food and chores, even when we argue about what to eat, buy or who to cook, we sort it out immediately. The only issue we had was based on my temperament. I am an introvert while they were both extroverts. Live was hell for me while i was with them but in a good way. They wouldn't leave me alone when i needed to ve left alone. they sleep early and wake up early while i sleep late and wake up late. When they are awake, they will start disturbing me with gist. I will tell them I'm not ready to talk in the morning but they won't leave me be. I will tell them I don't eat early till around 12pm, they will start disturbing me about breakfast aroung 5am. They were both crazy but i love them die. They still drive me crazy and I'm still not used to their craziness but we get along just fine.

My sixth roomie was doing nysc. The babe was okay too but we no just gel. We never quarrel or argue but she felt slighted that i don't share personal stuffs with her. She felt i was secretive, and i felt like she was nosy.

My seventh roomie was just annoying. She belongs to the category of people that feels they have a right to something. Cos she is older, she feels i should be the one to cook and do chores like I'm a servant. When she will wake up earlier than me, she will not cook but wait till i wake. If i no gree wake early, she will come and wake me that i should come and cook cos she is hungry. She is also nosy.

2weeks into staying, a girl comes to visit and I wasn't at home. Getting to my street she ran past me with a torn gown. Refused to talk to me and shedding tears profusely. I raced to d house.

According to neighbors, he fled through the back so I don't end his miserable life.

He tried to rape her. Music blasting! Her saving grace was my hatchback TV. She lifted it with all her strength and said she will smash it and reminded him of whose house he was in.
I was scary and involved in stuff then so no one liked to mess with me.

Tony fled and never came back to school till I graduated and left 042 (capilona)
Never had a roommate ever nor have I allowed anyone I don't know to come live in my house since 2001.

God gave me a brother as a roommate. People around thought we've known each from day 1. We did everything together. We went to school together because we were also coursemates.

Well, I don't know if I should call him a bad room mate. We had series of argument right from the first day. After Baba mop floor, u can't walk in the room again. I mean, am I supposed to start flying around the room because you mop the floor??

Baba is the very vigilant type with an usual Odun accents. He has this very old radio player. I always assume the radio is a generational inheritance. You dare not stop or play it. We are three in the room. Ben and I are just the coded guys that try as much to make fun out of all his action to avoid impending wahala.

Plates were not left out. As guys, we just move into d kitchen, pick a plate for a meal. But, you dare not mistakenly take any of Baba plate. It's another night of commotion. But ofcourse, it's fun.

But Baba,what pained me most was when you accused me of stealing your money, the third guy was not in school then. Interestingly,we both were searching for the money together but couldn't find it. I left for lectures and on my return, Baba has seen his cash. In the room that night he kept talking indirectly to me raising his voice that whosoever kept his money under the bed will die before the coming year. He said alot that even most of our hostel mate had to keep asking me who he is talking to. I felt really offended.

Lastly,we fought, real fight o. That day, he accused us of taking part of the beans n corn he cooked wen he came back from lecture. The third guy actually did use Baba kitchen spoon which was inside Baba pot. After use, he washed and help him put in his plate rack. Baba came back, and started, Talo je ewa Mii? who eat my beans? This isn't how I left my bean. My guy tried to explain to him that he only used his kitchen spoon but Baba flare up...more reason because he saw an agege bread that is almost fully consumed. He assumed that is the network band that consolidated his beans. Baba then said we must give him one cup of beans each. Now that's becoming infuriating. As he approached my bag, I gave him a very huge punch, Baba staggered and landed on the floor. After he regain himself, he realised he cant throw punches with me..The next thing, Baba carried me up, the next thing was like thunder strike. I landed on the pot of beans that caused the whole issue.
Oh! my back ache! I thought my spinal joint was gone. Baba pounced on me on the floor. I quickly stretched my hands to the pot of beans and hit on his head. He loosen his grip. I stood up and gave him more stonger punches.....omooo, that day I can never forget.

Meanwhile, while all this is happening, the third guy has been trying to separate us and other co student but the devil has taken over the fight. It was almost a figh to death. Eventually, we were restrained. After a week, I noticed he stopped complaining about trivial stuff. He just ignored. We all became best of friends later on till date....Baba had his introduction last year...we were all with him. Baba name is segun. Segun, if you are reading this... I love u brother. You made hostel life so interesting ��
