Like I always say, tell me you call sign during endurance trek along with your camp then we could start a conversation on the statistics of weapons across Nigeria along with the vast array of militancy group that are in infancy to the established ones.

One thing you guys fail to realize the DSS is diverse because it's works on intelligence. Meaning locals of each state are recruited in order to conduct effective management of intelligence operations. Mind you everyone comes in with a built in tribal mindset.

As an intelligence outfit just because a director of operations is from one side of the country doesn't mean he's gives out order to suit his vision because of the awareness that personnel come from different background.

You are dealing with intelligent people that can make your operation collapse on its self or can make it a significant success.

The bond holding personnel of diverse background in the DSS is the protection of every Nigerian regardless of class.

Biggest fear and worst nightmare of the agency and it's personnel is the break out of an all out civil war... It's for the reason collectively their is strong believe in dialogue that must be done by constitutional channels.

It's is why any form of divisive elements is always eliminated at infancy stage.

You mentioned north been overran by insurgency which is popular narrative with Nigerians but you failed to realize that every security outfit have their chain of command and theater of operations.

The DSS is the least manned outfit of all security agencies which is the international standard because it's focus is on intelligence.

Their job is to direct intelligence to the appropriate channel, while they hope it's executed in a timely manner.

Their are two occasions I can authoritatively say that intelligence was provided to the NPF on Boko Haram infiltration in ondo state, one out of the two was leaked to the press by unknown officer.

Now take that event and multiple it across the nation, that would show the magnitude of challenges we are dealing it as a nation.

The heavy handedness of operatives in the news couple of years back didn't do justice but you must know there are internal processes that deals with such to prevent it from happening again.

DSS can't be compared to FBI and the rest because we haven't been involved in wars with other nation's in the past.

So every thing happening now is a learning curve that will make it a better agency when things get better.
