She went home for the salah break and came back to her secondary school like this...

What punishment would you suggest for this, or should it pass?

Ask the right questions:

She got married during the break?

Not uncommon.

But she can also wash it off before resuming school, why didn't she do that?

It can't be wash at a time you want.
Otherwise you will scratch your body.

Anyway the people that are doing it aren't having any problem with it ,like wise their teachers.

I will really not suggest a punishment. Just tell her to wash it away... Sometimes al this kids just need a little guiding.
you don't wash away heinna inks away instantly. They fade off over a long period of time under consistent wash spanning several weeks or months

Why does she have to wash it off... Why will you Even think of punishing her... Has she done anything wrong
Is that body art work interfering with her studies in any way... This is how we look for trouble where there's none.

If students can't Adhere to basic school rules how would they become responsible adults? Bending the rules for these kids would make them think they can get away with anything, which would be a problem in the future. The society is in decline because of things like this, people think they are minor, but it's actually a big problem in the society. She should be punished as deterrence, Yoruba are not known for sparing the rod.

Some people really think know alot, but they know little. How does body adornment negatively impact studies? Don't Caucasian students go to school with piercing and tattoos? Am tired of our country.

It's just henna for crying out loud
Why do you want to punish her , please is it your hand that she draw the design on , you a a teacher and I expect you to be rational
Re: See How A Student Returned To Her School After Salah Break by eazyjay4(m): 9:21pm On May 19, 2021
Does that pattern on her body prevent the school from carrying out its function? Can’t the teachers teach cos she has it? Can’t the student learn cos she drew it? There no need being critical about some of these things seriously.

I don't see anything wrong with this, please. If the "authority" ain't comfortable with it, kindly tell her including others that they should always get them cleaned before resumption.
School authority will need to be patient for this to fade away by itself sha and it'll be totally unempathetic and uncalled for to send a student home because of this.
Peace.

She's just a child... The urge to try and do new things is ways appealing to them... And I think henna does not really last long on the skin like the nails... A little scrub with ethanol will make it fade to some extent.

People Must know that the school is not Only a place of academic studies, it also a place where they teach adherence to rules, Uniformity, Conformity etc if Such student is allowed this because it doesn't affect her studies, then we best make the school open season where all things go.

I guess they should forgive her then, she didn't do it intentionally. It's just for the celebration of Eid
Forgiveness for what exactly.. Are you forgiving her for practising her religion?

JovialJune:

Na so, we should then allow Yoruba/traditionalist's children bring their permanent painted face to school 2055981932 it's their tradition/culture right?

How is her henna disturbing your traditionalists? Try to keep your bigotry under check.

klap4gbens:

She is fully aware of the school rules and regulations
The same school rules that prevents her from practising her religion abi? Olodo lasan

JovialJune:

She did it intentionally, didn't she know she'd be resuming real soon before putting henna? If she doesnt put henna, will she die? There are so many Hausas that didn't put henna during this Eid, did they die?

There are so many good Christians who don't have problem with Muslim celebrating Eid. Did they die?

JovialJune:

See talk, is henna the only way to celebrate Eid

See talk. Are you the only Christian hate Muslims?

where in the Qur'an is Heena a religious adornment? Or an article of worship? You just look for issues where there's none.

Keep exposing your ignorance and bigotry..

If I was the parent of that student and you decided to purnish her for practising her religion you would find yourself in court.

Be guided..

Punishment just because of Henna? She did it to celebrate Sallah no any other thing

Just let her be, even if you want to punish her, let her stay out of school till the Henna fades away or vanish.
She can use hydrogen peroxide (sold in chemist) to wash it at once.
