While you're right, there's nothing wrong in entering a market in a bull run. As long as u can time the market well and enter at the right place...
Say you enter at the beginning of a bull run, u can make quick profits and get out or first move ur profit out and use stop loss to minimize any capitulation.
Essentially, many lose money cos of FOMO and greed. Greed and emotion na the two most difficult thing to control in this market.

You can only get the right entry in these conditions if you're an active trader which it seems you are.....most people are just investors keeping it in their wallets with 0 leverage, good investors buy in a crisis. And you're absolutely right about fomo and emotions, tho greed can be tamed.

I've seen my bitcoin go from $20,000 to $3,000 and stay down for years.

That's why I was laughing at everybody crying over what wasn't up to 50% sef

I was discussing this with a colleague today, part of the reasons why 2020/2021 witnessed a boost in crypto is due to stoppage of social activities, an average American/foreigners in developed countries doesn't have $500 let alone thousands to put into crypto on weekly basis, they only managed to do so because of boredom and nothing else to put the money into.
Covid restrictions will soon be lifted completely, people will pull billions out and hit the clubs, casinos, holidays and crypto will really struggle to stay up.

I sha hate stop losses because at times market bounces before you catch it

If we all had 10% stop loss before yesterday happened it would have been a free for all bazaar

Nothing is too small.

Imagine you put in $15 and had 7.5 ADA at $2 each. Then put stop loss if your money goes to 13.5

When ADA fell you'd have been able to load 12.27 units at $1.1 each and right now your initial $15 would be worth $23.31 instead of $14.25 if you had let it fall and rise back.

You either take profit early or wait for your previous target with a larger bag
