Funny thing is that most of these guys who think other African nations are better haven't been there to see how those places truly are.

Apart from Kenya(which is still debatable considering Nairobi alone and of course SA most African countries are not better than naija. African countries don't have the money Nigeria has even with the current situation

Exactly! They see the good part and arrive at a conclusion those African countries are better than Nigeria.

Kenya is not better than Nigeria and their only best city Nairobi is surrounded by massive slums.

Not better than Abuja and Lagos in terms of infrastructural development.

Only South Africa is better than Nigeria in Sub Sahara Africa.

Lagos should be competing with the likes of NYC, London, and Tokyo. Alot is needed to be done in order to get to that level. Lagos is currently not even close to that. Save for a few areas, the city is mostly filled with overpacked slums. A proper city council should be set up to help the city get to the level it is capable of getting to

Don't be daft. Tanzania is in all round better than your nigeria. Their capital city has more high rise buildings that Lagos state and Abuja put together. They have steady running water and steady electricity. They also have better road networks than your big-for-nothing nigeria. Their internet connections are top-notch. So, where do you want to start from to compare?

You're exaggerating, electricity yes and if fixed there will no basis for comparison, but apart from the beautiful ferries that take people across to Zanzibar, I don't think there's anything more fanciful.

You can never convince him. He's IPOB. Their entire reality is focused on rubbishing Nigeria by any means necessary to ensure their Biafra comes to pass. Nigeria can develop all it wants, Igbos will always hate it. They will forever rubbish Nigeria no matter what, that is why I'm for referendum.

Don't mind them, yes we have issues in Nigeria but same with these African nations and they aren't rich enough to build super infrastructure like SA. And on top of that only few nations like Nigeria and Ethiopia are truly independent economically. Most African nations are so dependent on the west including nations like Kenya and Ghana. The UN headquarters presence in Kenya is the advantage.

The whole of Lagos state is a slum and glorified village.

Village has igr that’s bigger than the whole Kenya and Tanzania combined.

The village that has transportation system (brt, water transportation, airports, railway etc)

Village that has the 3rd highest millionaires in Africa.

Village that has cites built from land reclaimed from sea.

Village that has airport with one of the highest numbers of passengers in Africa.

As you can see you don’t know anything. grin

The average Tanzanian is very poor, compared to the average Nigerian.

Nigeria's GDP per capita is DOUBLE that of Tanzania.

Nigeria GDP per capita:

Tanzania GDP per capita:

Also, Tanzania's access to electricity is 37%, while Nigeria's is 57%

AND THERE ARE POWER CUTS IN TANZANIA: https://energychangelab.org/shedding-light-power-quality-tanzania/

So take your lies and stick em up your you know what.

Most of them are ignorant hence needs to be educated about the reality and facts on ground.

If not for this security issue we are facing, we would have done better than this.

Agree 100%. Ban of okada and completion of public transit trains will change Lagos overnight. Both of which Sanwo Olus is already working on. Kudos to him. He's working. One thing about Tinubu is he doesn't pick dullards. He knows how to pick smart and hard working leaders. Better than anyone else.

Most Africans come to Lagos and are shocked with the sophistication they see and in Abuja too. Even many cities and states capital have improved infrastructure over the years.

Yes our politicians are thieves and it shows the enormous cash at their disposal to do more. As you said the security issue had really taken away lots of shine from us as a country but we can only hope for better days.

Even folks from the west come here and are shocked with the level of technology in Nigeria. The Fintech and Financial sector is as good as what you have in the west reason the west keep prying away talents from Nigeria.

Nigeria is bad yes, but it's because the best of its citizens are ruled by the worst of it's citizens

That's mainly the northern sympathetic nature to boko haram and their ideology. They can easily crush them but they see them as their brothers.

I've said this before but I'll say it again. If not for Nigeria and the problem it brings (over population on the southwest, reducing GDP per capita and job availability, over bearing our electricity capacity, even Osun has great electricity, that's because of low population) Yoruba Nation would've been like Egypt/ Morroco/South Africa by now. Nigeria is greatly holding Yorubas back.

The Greek are white, but they are not the same as the Germans at all. One country is barely sustainable, the other is an incredibly run, intelligent, and wealthy country. Yorubas are not the same as Fulanis. Igbos are smart and hardworking as well, but they lack the capacity to build a top tier nation as a group as they're too individualistic. Yorubaland that had the first tv station in Africa and the first skyscraper in sub Saharan Africa in1963, is struggling to build more in 2021. Clearly something has gone massively wrong. The difference between now and then is Yorubas controlled everything in the regional system, now decisions run through the central government, largely dominated by northern states.

Personal use to ride where? Apart from the logistics and delivery companies, okada should be banned totally.

Years ago it was neighbouring countries like Benin and Togo that were using okadas and we were making jest of them. We never knew it will become this way in Nigeria. Are you aware that Kano and Kaduna don't have okadas in their city centre? Why tolerate it in Lagos

You have one opinion do not forget that.

Personal use EVERYWHERE instead of a car.

Okada refers to the use of motorcycle for commercial use.

Personal use means I go anywhere I want with my motorcycle just like others use their cars

Why should it banned what is the thinking

You can't go everywhere with an okada. We can choose to be sentimental but okada whether personal or commercial is a huge security and safety risk.
