I think we are really making a gross mistake of just classifying all the possible crypto coins as highly volatile without fundamentals. I know it's tempting to do that, but even the so called stocks market in Nigeria, I've seen you people say you won't touch some stocks even with a 6 foot pole.

And yes I respect you a lot when it comes to naira denominated instruments. But your analysis on foreign assets is still very much in it's infancy compared to tested and mature investors like Cathie Wood.

Please let's not litter this thread with cryptocurrency convo anymore, I'm a culprit too sha lipsrsealed

Thank God for the person who was to buy my car but disappointed, he didn't pay as promised.

If he had paid, I would have speculated with the fund.

At this time you were obviously not diversified. In the crypto world we have some coins called shit coins, these are the coins people are not supposed to even think of having, but newbies buy them because they can 800x just like you did. At the current stage of BTC, ETH, BNB, NANO they cannot 800x. Newbies go around buying only shit coins and then come to cry fowl that they got burnt.

In the first place, don't put more than 20% of your funds in crypto. Then don't put more than 5% of that in shit coins. They will put their life savings in shit coins and come here to start crying.

Crypto has come to stay but it will forever remain a volatile asset. If you have the temperament and knowledge required, go ahead but for the average investor that is above 40 with not too robust reserve, it's best to avoid it.
Anyway, I lost money in 2008 to the stock market so I know how it feels to lose your hard earned money. Thankfully made it back last year and ploughed it to real estate.

When we convert N1 million to N10 million out of thin air or from highly volatile assets that has zero cash flow, it is natural to think one is a genius or a guru, we are tempted to take more risks, become optimistic and reckless.

The greatest Investment and risk management lessons are learnt when the N10 million evaporates and turns to 500k. At this point we become sober and humble, while some will become agressive or depressed.
Only an idi0t would know that an asset is highly volatile and still not cashout atleast their ₦1m capital or upto ₦7m when their ₦1m grows to ₦10m. By so doing, they will never loss a dime with the highly volatile asset.

^^^ That is exactly what I did. So, even if bitco1n becomes worthless tomorrow, I loss nothing.

Someone once shared a statement a man told him, the man said' A gambler always loses'
If a gambler had a bet with 10 naira and won 20 naira, he would feel bad and would wish he had bet with 1million to win 2million,and if he had lost, he would also feel bad.
If you bought crypto at 20k and sold at 49k,didnt you feel bad when it got to 65k?

To tell you the truth in plain language. I find it ridiculous that you keep preaching invest in bitc0ins here everyday when you do not know jack about it.

I also find it bizarre that you claim to have made over 300m in less than a year in profits alone in bitc0ins when you do not know anything about the workings of bitc0ins. To make that much means you invested big money. Who invests big money in what they know nothing about?

I seriously doubt that you are a real bitcoin investor with lots of money invested as you claim and I do not think you should be pushing anyone to invest in something that you have not invested big in and know very little about. That is just cold and heartless!

Bickering up and down on crypto.
Invest in what you know. Always seek for knowledge,it's gives power(edge).

Anyone who trades and understand charts, should know that the drop in bit.coin was eminent.
Check the chart from 4h to D1, that drop was coming.
But no, they expect bit.coin to keep checking going up as if it is rocket, on a space mission.

When it comes to forex, crypto, these are highly volatile market, that needs experience.
As the saying goes, "HIGH RISKS, HIGH REWARD".

I know you are the king of theory. People like you would first go and study blockchain technology first because you want to buy bitco1n. I AM NOT A THEORY MAN.

I have been using bitco1n to make payment in darknet and also received payment for years. Infact I started with liberty reserve and lost some money in it when LR was shut down by fbi. I moved to perfect money and bitco1n then I stick to bitco1n.

I repeat, my intention last year was not to "invest" in bitco1n. My intention was to escape Naira devaluation by keeping my money in bitco1n. Because we were in lockdown, my businesses were closed and I have lots of Naira available plus Naira just started losing its value to USD so I had to do something really fast. If tbills rate was reasonable then, the money would have been locked in it.

During that lockdown, if you had put just 20m in bitco1n, it would had fetch you that 300m. I put more than that in bitco1n.

1bitco1n was worth around $4k - $5k then. It rose to $60k. Such percentage increase has never been seen in the history of bitco1n. So for me, it is pure luck. Not a calculated attempt to invest.

So, one thing we can't take away from Emma and other active members here- their analyses and ideas based on practical experiences are top-notch. That said, I agree with Lazyyouth on being guided with how we paint this Crypt0 narrative, I.e., by just putting money and wait for it to rise without understanding the intricacies that shape the market. However, this investment through blockchain hasn't been unpacked enough. Tobex and Jedisco/jidesco, would it be okay to quote you on a dead thread for more info? Thanks.

You can call me a theory man or whatever you want to. Na you sabi. One thing I know sha is that I can smell BS from a mile away. You think you are talking to children here?

Let me tell you something. And I’m sure you know this and are just trying to save face because you know you have been found out. Everyone I know who has invested good money in that asset class knows it in and out. Trust me on that. You think Jedisco knows all he knows because he’s a professor? No. He knows because he did his homework on an asset class he has invested in. You think Oga Emma is a professor because he knows the stock market well? No. He is a true investor and does his homework.

Anyway, this is Nairaland where all dreams come true. Keep dreaming but please do not push anyone to go into bitc0ins when you clearly haven’t. At least not big time as you claim. Leave that to the true investors and continue your normal trolling on the pages of Nairaland. Mr ‘I have a very good business’....

Bitco1n is a payment system. That's how most of us see it. It became widely used mostly in darknets when LR was shutdown.

The more you try your best to prove that you are an actual investor in bitc0ins, the more stupid you sound to be honest. All you have ever said is that it’s a payment system. That’s all you know and then you put your net worth in it to beat devaluation? Nicca please...

But I have never seen you actively discussing and analyzing crypto like someone that is really into it. Do you see how passionate Jedisco and Tobex are? They know that asset class very well and you can tell that they are investors. As for you, you have NEVER EVER gone into any deep and/or technical discussion or tried to really educate people here about the asset class. Na just to dey tell people to invest in bit.coins everyday with no basis.

Oga, please don’t push people to make mistakes that they will end up regretting just because this is an anonymous forum that a gardener can be a billionaire (or anything he dreams of being). Some stupid people still blindly follow things that they read here.

If you are going to keep doing that, why don’t you start by teaching folks how it really works as an experienced battle tested investor with millions of dollars invested in bitc0ins that you claim to be? undecided

You really don't need all these explanations in a public domain.

It matters little or nothing if you actually invested or have the said money; It won't affect his life. So, why the long explanations?

Your heart and God bear you witness whether or not you're lying.

He, on the hand, can choose to believe what he wishes.

Guy abi na babe you be, your own too much sef.

First, did s/he mandate or enforce anyone to invest in cryp.to?

It was simply a subtle and dismissible advice on a public group.

Why do you think any adult would blindly take an unsubstantiated investment advice and part with his/her money without any due diligence? Anyone who does so should be ready to take responsibility for the result (positive or negative).

From your trail of responses, it's obvious that you were more interested in the genuineness or otherwise of his acclaimed funds and profit making from cryp.to. I wonder how that affects your financial status.

Perhaps, you are a victim of unsolicited, random investment advice that have gone wrong, as it seems you want it take it on him/her.

Let's all understand that this is a public domain and everyone has equal right to express his/her experiences and opinions without infringing on others.
