You really don't need all these explanations in a public domain.

It matters little or nothing if you actually invested or have the said money; It won't affect his life. So, why the long explanations?

Your heart and God bear you witness whether or not you're lying.

He, on the hand, can choose to believe what he wishes.

unless you are just being sarcastic- which I strongly suspect!
and that makes sense to you to force people into your line of reasoning just because you can't understand their choices?

Theories you knows and that you should stick with, don't try to get words from people here so as to tap into their finances by being a snitch. Everyone here needs to be wary of you, the way you store up thier infos in that your deranged brain

Thank God for the person who was to buy my car but disappointed, he didn't pay as promised.

If he had paid, I would have speculated with the fund.

All things work together for good

At the height of the bull run of 2006 to 2008. A guy invested N1 million in insurance companies stock and other penny stocks moving the funds around the stocks, he cashed out at N5 million. Got a margin facility of N5 million to add to his profit of N5 million thereby making a total of N10 million.

He invested the N10 million in Wema Bank at N2 sold at over N4. Thereby making a profit of N15 million after settling his debts.

He ran away from the stockmarket for 2 months, put his funds in fixed deposit, got married, bought plots of land.

He went back again to speculate with N10 million and got a margin facility of N10 million making a total of N20 million.

He invested the fund in the private placement of Big Treat Confectionery, a company owned by a Chinese young lady and lost all his funds.

We learnt the Chinese lady was duped by her Nigerian boy friend to the tune of almost N200 million.

She now decided to get her money back from Nigerian speculators/traders, she was able to get good money and she made about N3 billion out of thin air from Nigerians.

An elderly man Invested his retirement gratuity and sold one of his houses to invest in the young lady's confectionery business

I have followed CNBC's Insana for many years. I think his opinion below should be a warning and lesson. A word is enough for the wise. History does repeat itself.

Insana: The pied pipers of cryptocurrency are leading investors to their doom

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/20/insana-the-pied-pipers-of-cryptocurrency-are-leading-investors-to-their-doom.html?recirc=taboolainternal

I also like how he ends the article...

"If you have profits, take them and go back home. If you have losses, cut them.

If you haven’t yet played, stay home, stay safe and be well."

you are being ridicilous that is why it is difficult to give you a straight answer.
Gold is the most stable store of value in human history and the most reliable back up of currency and money.

What is backing the dollar which is the global currency? 20% of all the dollar currently in circulation was printed last year out of thin air. No gold backing it up. And now they want to introduce dollar in digital form.

Gold has value. But that value is extrinsic.

If people gather and say this thing has value, of course it would have value till they find an alternative. Salt and silk were once precious commodities and used as store of value.

you seem to be arguing both sides of the topic.
Gold has been the most reliable store of value over history... and I see you agree that it is a store of value used as a backup for currency.
The dollar is viewed as a farce because it has nothing of tangible value backing it except for American propaganda... you also agree with that.
so what exactly is your point of deviation?

on a lighter note, only women have intrinsic value. grin grin

For me, the discovery of this thread and all other investment threads I visit on Nairaland was intentional while looking for something on investment. I did not stumble on any. I also do not go around cajoling people or trying to convince people to invest on what they know nothing about or are not ready to invest in. Except someone ask or I am privy to new information for those already invested, trying invest or I need some information. I don't just trying to convince people for anything. So to me, however good that asset class is, once you try to shove it down people's throat, it is a red flag.

Google Peter Ololo, the expert margin trader, Stockbroker, chartered accountant, financial expert, technical analyst (with the best trading tools).

He had the resources to manipulate the market in his favour, at the end of the day he lost over N100 billion and is indebted to banks.

Invest in your financial education, be diversified by investing in different asset classes, create a margin of safety when you invest, have a steady source of income, invest basically for cash flow, avoid loans ( if you must take loans, make sure your cash flow can pay back the loans and not capital appreciation), have multiple streams of income.

You must not devote more than 20% of your capital to speculation, learn how to value an asset, speculate on undervalued Investments that have good fundamentals and are selling at a discount.

Avoid bubble assets whose valuations are influenced by emotions, tweets by influencers, but the valuations do not make business, economic and financial sense.

He had the resources to manipulate the prices at the end of the day he was trapped because the fundamentals of most of the stocks were poor or the stocks were grossly overvalued.

The over N100 billion he made in the market was paper profits from bubble assets, can't imagine why banks accepted the bubble assets as collateral. Which led to the death of many banks

Bubble assets will always go burst

If he made paper profit of over N100 billion in 2008, only God knows how much he would have made if it happened in 2021 in the days of social media.

He only needs a minimum of 1 million followers on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.

He will continue to manipulate the market like Elon Musk with his messages and tweets, thereby making billions of Naira

Why would anyone see bitco1n as an investment?

Once you have money in bitco1n, nothing is guaranteed. Anything can happen.

I will never use the word invest with bitco1n because, for me, it doesn't qualify to be an investment. At least, not yet. But clearly, it's a way to make money no doubt, so I can't leave it out.

Frustrated Uber driver let me tell you one thing and I put this on every thing in my life, you will never ever be up to anything close to where I am in life until you die. Both financially and status wise.

How can I be depressed when I am living a good life while you are out in the sun sweating and smelling and looking for passengers to feed your poor family? Miserable driver with a bad attitude that can’t get tips from riders.

Better humble your self and start learning from things that I write that your thick skull calls theories because you cannot comprehend. Go back to my history and educate yourself very well. Then come back and let me school you some more. Starting from your bad grammar. Miserable driver like you...
