Good morning everyone,

I submitted my third application on Feb 16, submitted everything required for the Nse route. The only update I got on my application is my medical result, which was updated on Feb 26 and I passed, since then, I have got nothing from them. I am really worried, my first two applications was rejected. I'm taking a fashion course at George brown college, started last year sept, done with the first year, starting the second year this Sept. I missed two in-person classes already, though, most of my courses were delivered online. The deadline for my first semester 2nd-year fees is this June, I don't want to miss another in-person class. Pls what should I do? I'm just tired of checking my application account, hoping something would pop up. Pls, help me with suggestions. Thank you

send mail and webform to nairobi and tell then u have completed first year and school is moving to inperson classes by september and the deadline to make tuition payment is june (put specific date) and plead with them to expedite action. please note dont put the condition that ur program can be done online oo

please note that its not that you have been forgotten when ur application is submitted it goes through a lot of checks and confirmation. let me paint a senerio Mr A submitted an application same day with Mr B but Mr A had attached too many documents which ideally will require to be confirmed one after the other by the VO processing the application and Mr B on the other hand submitted very few but essential documents for the same application to the same VO. Now Mr B is likely to get a response faster as all the documents can be verified shortly in no time. Aside this, many applicants submit 3 different statement of accounts and most banks respond to the mails from the embassy very slowly hence the need for my bank statement even at that the process is not as fast as expected. My advise for new applicant is keep it short and simple like my oga @vibrant 99 will say. attach essential documents to avoid making you application supporting documents cumbersome. You wont compare the speed of getting a final decision for an applicant with nigerian bank statement and an applicant with international bank details becos a VO sees every potential nigerian applicant as a fraud and at that would want to scrutinise well.

I applied for my study permit application May 11. Having completed my biometrics on May 14, it's been quite a while since my Background Check has been in processing. I'll like to actually know the average time it takes for one's background check to be processed.

for question 1 i think 10days max. but one thing is sure they will send an acknowledgment mail to you since you sent then a document.
2. since you applied from nigeria the primary office that automatically handles your application is nairobi

Why not do upfront medicals and submit?

dont be fed up learn to say positive things in trend 17 and early 18 we saw applicant with 1year profile and even 15months profile paper route though and they were approved. My advise is that you look at the last post and follow the directive Likkiboboe gave someone on how to mail IRCC that your application has passed standard processing time

Hello, I messaged Lagos via Webform on May 26 for my medicals and they responded by 10am May 27th.

I messaged Lagos first cause I understand that they are responding for processing new applications now.

Please, I sent email to Lagos visa office and they replied me that Eligibility: recommend passed. Medical: passed. Please can someone tell me what this means. I've attached the screenshot below. Thank you.

I was still tapping into Lianna2020's grace when i read her profile not knowing my own don come. I want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread by giving information, asking questions or just giving others hope.

Beautiful morning to everyone in this house. please no one has answered my question as regards proof of funds .I realized most people that got PPR in thos group have over #30m in either their account or sponsor. please I want to know please what is the minimum a self sponsored person like me should have in total in Naira in my bank for the estimated 6 months bank statement including one year school fees as my one year fees in 17,550 CAD.i will be hoping for an answer from the Gurus in the house.plz help a brother oo

30k CAD (inclusive of tuition fee) is enough for a self sponsored applicant going for a 1 year program. If you're going for 2 years program, funds available must cover the entire 2 years duration. I'm estimating a little above 55k cad for you, or you provide a convincing explanation in regards to where the fund for your second year will come from. This is just an opinion.

Is it possible for my eligibility review to start before I do my medical ?

I don't know if the "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" means eligibility has started because i didn't receive any update in this regard. but it has been like that since my biometrics started showing completed

This confirms what I said earlier. Applicants beyond mid April tend to have eligibility review status updated faster. There's definitely a change at some level and those benefitting from it are the new applicants.

We are plenty. And it obvious March Applicants have not been attended to.

Just go ahead with your medical

Please I just got my renewed passport and sent it via webform to Nairobi.
I want to know if raising webform alone is sufficient or I also still need to send them a mail. I never got any acknowledgement after sending the webform.

From others examples, I don't think there is anything wrong. I believe you application is under active review, if you don't meet the NSE requirement then your application follows the normal route.

How long is the normal route
I have already finished one semester already and remote learning is not easy ooh.. Midnight classes and early mornings classes
