My brother in-law works there. It's a ministry job. I don't think it's up to 70k for a start. But the career prospect is great. You get to travel for foreign missions if you get to a certain level.

Take the offer as quickly as possible. You can go and do your masters while working there, plus you have a chance to travel to many countries of the world

As a starter on GL 8 you get 63k monthly and also 500k every year for clothing allowance. Anybody that tells you otherwise is a bloody lier. Goodluck

Most Federal Govt jobs takes time before it materialises. Instead of waiting for something that is not certain, why no start your Msc. If your very lucky, you'll end up getting both the job and Msc.

N.B with your first degree you'll start from level 8. With Msc, you get to start with level 9.

Beggars full there, their salary is way to small... It's a ministry, salary for a graduate is level 8 step 2 and it's 61k...
Thats why most of them there keep begging customers who comes to do one international stuffs or the other,
You will need your parents to still help you pay house rent till you reach level 12 and that's like 10 years later......

How much does Junior lecturers with level 8 receives for starting.

I have a cousin, he came out with 2.1 in UNN, they gave him a lecturing job in same school with a start salary of 80k. Though it might rocketed to like 100k now because that was last 2yrs.

The best bet is for you to ask that contact or your parents

I work in ministry of education, the salary of level 8 step 7 is around 56k to 58k. Don't let people deceive you. Ministry are not paying like others federal government organization. Those who enjoys ministry work is from level 12 up.

The Salary is of course, not more than #70,000, except you're employed under any of the Agencies, under the Ministry.
Even, with that, it's still not up to #100,000 (around 90k).
My candid advice, please go for the job, first.

Level 9 step 7 earns N83,637 In all the ministry including foreign affairs. But with harmonisation coming every graduates are likely to earn the same pay except people who seemingly work in risk prone environment.
